That’s Lebanon not Kuwait, plus they were having a temporary problem with the garbage which got sorted plus if you think that would piss me off I really don’t give a fuck about Lebanon and I trash it more than anybody else. In any case do you really wanna compare kuwait to Lebanon or would you rather compare it to a more developed nation like UAE or the US? Cuz if you compare Kuwait to Liberia for example where in some areas they still shit in the streets then Kuwait is the best place on earth. Personally I always like to compare kuwait to better places so we can improve and get better…
Hey, so on behalf of the expat community, I just wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your country even though a lot of us were born here, have a Kuwaiti mother or grew up here and erroneously refer to it as home. You’re just gracious hosts.
I would also like to apologise for the expats who wear dishdasha and throw their cigarettes out the window of their cars while their children throw their empty KDD milk out the other side for some other expat who doesn’t appreciate your generosity in (sometimes) paying them to walk the blistering heat and pick up trash.
We’re sorry. We’ll try harder.
Wow, Omar. That is SO welcoming! Thank you!
Please don’t mind him. There is a kernel of truth in what he said. There are some demographics within the expat community who are known to be very messy.
It’s still no excuse for him to behave like he did, or to blame every expat for that matter.
Omar, you’re way out of line. Heyday brings up a good question. Why should he bother with not littering when we are the primary offenders?
I see both kuwaities and expats litter. Both are guilty. If we want things to change, we’d do well to start with ourselves.
Here’s the deal, Omar: Regardless of who dumped the trash there, it is the responsibility of the Kuwaiti government to clean it up. No expat, that I know of, has been given the task of cleaning up the garbage on a city-wide scale.
That said, I have seen this type of behavior from children and adults, and it includes Kuwaitis. A certain percentage of them just feel free to drop their trash on the ground. Fortunately for them, I was raised to believe littering was wrong, and one of the ways I show respect for my hosts here is by trying to keep the country clean. Which brings me back to my original question: Why should I try and keep it clean when the locals don’t feel the same respect for their own country?

I think a lot of people are to blame; both expats and locals as well. Whether it’s polluted beaches, throwing bottles out of cars, etc…..the list is endless and appaling. I see it all the time and have told off a few people for doing so…..don’t give a hoot who they are as well and what age! We need more recycling bins and ads that highlight these issues on the roads on billboards. That and the accident rates too, graphic displays which make people stop and think. End of.
Yes! But where is the live stream? Double the awesome!
Mark where is the place of this garbage exactly ? Reply me ASAP
I’m still looking for a recycling company in Kuwait. NewAir closed down more than a year ago and I still haven’t found an alternative. Why is it so hard to find a place that collects recyclable materials in Kuwait?!
The municipality must update their residential building codes and specs and require a mandatory garbage chute in ALL residential buildings.
You must fix the problem from its origin – if the resident has an efficient way of disposing their garbage and the ‘haris’ has an easy way to reach and transport the compacted garbage you won’t see the black plastic bags outdoors.
Kipco tower has a chute that collects, compacts and even wraps/seals the garbage in their basement. Hamra tower on the other hand collects garbage manually from each floor.
You don’t like it? LEAVE! GET OUT! EXPATS CAN EXIT, STAGE LEFT!
What are we going to do about the garbage on the streets when you leave? US KUWAITIS WILL TAKE CARE OF IT! Abdullah will be a garbage man. What about fast food? Beder has natural burger flipping talents. And maids? That’s right, Fatima is an excellent bathroom scrubber! Yeah! That’s right! Us Kuwaitis will clean up our own garbage for 70 KD a month, and us Kuwaiti will work at McDonald’s and fry your salty fries for 80 KD a month, and US KUWAITIS will be maids for 90 KD a month! Where will we live? Of course with seven others in a studio apartment! GET OUT EXPATS! US KUWAITIS GOT THIS! GTFO!!!!!

As an expat, I often want to ask Kuwaitis: Why should I bother trying to keep your country clean when you won’t make the same effort?
Most of this mess is from expats. Respect the country and its people you disrespectful non appreciative low life.
yeah obviously not having enough garbage bins is the fault of the expats…
