HOW DO I SOLVE THIS?!!?!?!

beautiful-kuwait

Every morning the garbage trucks come, clean up the garbage but then by 3PM the garbage is already overflowing. Why is it so hard to add more bins or larger ones???

expats, locals, or whatever shit were on the other post!!!
just they should add 10 more bins or 15
thats it!!!! dunno why every every thread becoming drama over here and war between Kuwaitis vs Expats!!!
just the freaking cleaning company who lacks all the planing should have an estimate of number of residents and number of bins!!!

Any idea if they are able to get work done on areas like Jleeb? Khaitan? A makeover might do wonders for the morale out there!

That is gross and it happens in Abu Halaifa and Mahboula as well. They think that 2 garbage cans have enough space to hold garbage from 15 buildings. Morons!

Where exactly would the garbage cans go if someone were to build a building on that vacant lot?

Maybe its time to DIY, hire a half lorry and a bunch of guys, give them KD 20 and let them haul the garbage away, those guys will also make money by selling the plastics and metal to the recycling companies. Divide KD 600 a month over how ever many apartments in your building, shouldn’t be too bad.

A bit much considering that the balidiya already collects a fee which is included with the electricity bill.

try the following :
1-collect 10 kds from each apartment in the area to buy new bins
2-call the cleaning company to add more bins. their tel nimber is on the trash bins
3- visit the local baldiya office and complain

guess what? u are off topic..

you’ve been chasing this problem for years and apparently no one gives a shit about salmiya for one simple reason. it’s an “expats” area..

so sad

In India leftover r given to stray dogs n other animals n rest is all burned. I am talking abt the suburbs.

“it’s an expat area” dunno why I read that with a whiny voice.
In Kuwaiti areas the residents actually do something about it rather than complain and do nothing. During the invasion this happened all over Kuwait. The KUWAITI residents in each area had volunteers to take that pile on a truck away to the dump site.

well i’ve setup a timelapse, it’s been 24 hours already and i already found something interesting. gonna keeep it going till the battery dies probably by tomorrow.

That seems like a good start, the other helpful suggestions here are also good.

Your post asked for solutions and not complaints about an obvious problem, so that comment wasn’t targeted to you, and I never read you in a whiny voice. 😉

Good luck tho!

It’s truly ridiculous that in such a rich country this is an issue. Go ahead and tell me again to get the F out but I’m disgusted that nobody in leadership does anything to fix the problem. Aren’t they embarrassed? Why the hell should Mark have to pay from his own pocket to keep Kuwait from sinking in garbage??!! Can anyone with influence start an Instagram campaign or something to get this place cleaned up and start recycling? Join the developed world

assuming you haven’t already done that, try calling up the cleaning co. that has put their bins there. They must be having a quality control department.

ya know, the timelapse idea isn’t half bad. if you had a video that showed how much was accumulating and posted it on the blog, it might recieve a lot of attention. also, you could start circulating it on whatsapp. the more attention it recieves and the more people start complaining then there’s a higher chance things could work out in your favor.

by the looks of it, the only way to bring about a significant change in how the system works and get people to finally take action against something/someone here, you’re gonna have to embarrass them *cough cough* chloe’s cockpit adventures *cough cough*

Paying a visit to the ministry of municipality in person might be worth it. You’d be surprised how friendly and understanding the Heads of Ministries are. Its the lower staff members that most times have problems understanding what to do.

My advice, go in person, take some pics with you. Bring the time lapse video and hopefully things will change.

Its worth a try.

Why is it that I always hold Kuwait to the highest standard while people always compare it to other poorer and worse performing countries like Beirut?

so if we have a problem, we just ignore it and start comparing ourselves with another place that has a worse problem, instead of thinking how to solve our shitty problem!!!
nice thinking bro

Well, you are absolutely right, we should try to catch these things before it gets bigger, same as it happened in Lebanon … responsibility!! Let the Baladyia hire somebody who’s responsible, whatever his nationality is, just responsible with consequences

End a post through @Q8needsyou on instagram. Itll be solved quickly.

Or you could just call the cleaning cï ¥services contractor respobsible for your area and file a complaint. I usually works believe it or not especially for the larger companies such as NATIONAL CLEANING and TANZIFCO

I have not been able to update Deera website for 6 months now, so I think that was maybe a good idea that lasted 5 minutes. It was great that you could see a result immediately after posting a problem.

the apartment owner should pay for more garbage pins! thats the solution. the garbage company is not responsible for this mess. they put the amount of dumpsters they are paid for.
