Photo: Scene Outside a Co-op

As part of the new safety measures, they’re limiting the number of people inside co-op’s at any one time, and every customer will also have their temperature taken at the entrance. The picture above was taken at the Mishref Co-op where they’ve set up chairs outside for customers waiting to enter the supermarket.

all the people complaining about the chairs. you don’t worry about the couches at bank tho? or the chairs at the ministry when you wait for a paper or someone ? or the chairs infront of the boarding gates at the airport? those chairs are way more filthy, than these temporary chairs outside a well established co-op thats in a very clean are also! one of my favorite co-ops by far, because they import alot of food and stuff from the uk like sultan.

exactly my point ? why care about chairs outside a co-op when you use the chairs in the airport or a restaurant ? they could have made you stand, but they went the extra mile to provide chairs.

But restaurants and airports are closed now, so why bother talking about those chairs? No one sits on them now, but here many people sit on these chairs! The virus can stay on surfaces for a long time and you don’t think that people who sit there can after have it on their clothes and bring it home when they could potentially become sick afterwards? Think for once!

Just been to Sultan Salwa. Although it was moderately busy, it probably has the worst measures compared to what I’ve seen. The carts don’t look like they’re being cleaned. In the elevator, they put a tissue box I’m guessing to press the buttons with a tissue, but there is no wastebasket. They did though tell people to keep a distance between each other in the line. Also, westerners finished all the toilet paper and canned food.
