So, this watch works anti-clockwise?
Mark, put that clock to 2:48AM and place it as a logo on your blog.
Confusing ! but kinda cool 🙂
actually
this is the indian numbers clock
the 1,2,3,4 .. are the arabic numbers 🙂
Actually…
It turns out that BOTH are Arabic numerals (at least, that’s what I concluded from the short research I did into the matter).
It seems that the Arabs did indeed take the numerals featured in the picture above from the Indian people (except for zero “.”). the Arabs have stated this themselves.
However, the numbers have changed enough to warrant them being called Arabic instead of Indian. This is evident when you look and compare both Indian and Arabic numerals and their roots.
The other Arabic numerals set (0, 1, 2, …) appeared in 2 A.H (if memory serves me right) in the western region (Africa). Sources claim that it was due to a political conflict.
At least, this is what I got from my research. I would be very interested to learn more about this subject, so please share any information you may have regarding this subject.
What I’ve read that alkhawarezmi invented the Arabic numbers based on angles of the number (the original form of not the today form)
Then they were dumbed and the Indian numbers are being used except for the zero it was entirely invented by Muslims
I thought the English numerals were actually the Arabic numerals. Apparently, these are ‘Hindi numerals’.

mindblasting.
does this go back in time?
So funny 🙂
WHERE CAN ONE BUY SUCH A CLOCK IN KUWAIT??????
Somewhere at the Friday market….someone bought me one as a present..except it’s in black and gold!
Only it’s not in reverse…
I know i’m missing the point here, but you don’t reverse anything and everything when converting it to arabic.
I know, swoosh.
I have seen one such ‘reverse clock’ with english numerals at Fantasy world.
thats a stupid clock. Arabic clock has correct arrangements of numbers, in normal clockwise direction, except midnight is around eisha time.
Just for the record these numbers are Indian number where Arabic number are the 1,2,3,4 typed here 🙂
actually these are not numbers, they are buddhist frogs.
Pretty stupid, number in Arabic are written from left to right like english.
They should have also made it upside down and spins when anyone tries to read the clock. Then people won’t miss the point of the troll clock.
