The Kanye West, Yeezy Season 1 collection is launching worldwide on October 29th and Kuwait will be included as part of the launch. Like with the Yeezy Boosts, Harvey Nichols will be carrying the Yeezy Season 1 collection exclusively in Kuwait. I’ve got my eye on two pieces which I’m hoping (a) I will be able to pull off and (b) will be worth the price. I’ve seen some price lists floating around the web and most of the pieces looks pretty expensive. According to my contact at Harvey there will be no shoes released with this collection, the only accessory will be bags. They’re also just releasing menswear so tough lucky ladies. If you’re interested, the pieces are launching this Thursday, October 29th at 10AM at Harvey Nichols in Avenues. I’m assuming they’re going to sellout pretty quick.
One interesting tidbit I learned from my contact is that they will be releasing the white Yeezy Boosts sometime November/December. According to rumors online, Adidas might be releasing a new colorway for the Yeezy’s next month but no official announcement has been made yet. In fact, Adidas are expected to make a Yeezy Boost announcement tomorrow so it could be in regards to these white boosts.

Oh look, Back to the future fashion xD
fashion predicted!
Anything Kanye West is just so embarrassing!
How original. Bullet-proof vest, hoodie, MA-1 bomber jacket, camouflage poncho, knock offs. You can get the real thing from any Army-Navy store for a fraction of the cost and the shipping is free. A fool and his money.
I see six pictures down and only two appear other 4 is empty, you said camouflage?

lol
You clearly have no idea what’s trendy this season. The MA-1 jacket is back in style this season hence why so many different brands have remastered it. I personally just got the DailyPaper MA-1 jacket last week and it’s ridiculously cool with various patches all over and a really nice cut.
You’ve obviously never put on an Alpha Industries MA-1 jacket (they’re the real thing). They look like shit when worn and all puffy and awkward. But if you’re interested, Urban Outfitters have the Alpha Industries MA-1 jacket this season in a beautiful maroon color with gold zippers. It still looks like shit when worn though.
Also just a note his collection has more than camo, I just highlighted the camo stuff cuz that’s the stuff I’m interested in.
Or, if you’re interested, you can buy the entire array of US Navy issued colors for 100 bucks from a surplus store.

The MA-1 has been trendy since the early 1990s in Japan. Europe woke up to it a couple of years ago and Kanye (or Kim) is cashing in on the feeble minds of the “nouveau riche” in MENA who just go with the flow without a clue as long as its made of silk. Like I said: A fool and his money.
I had a black MA-1 jacket in the 90s, it comes in and out of fashion all the time and last year it got picked up again. Same with camo prints.
But you’re wrong about Kanye trying to cash in on the MENA, not only are we not irrelevant to him, right now it looks like only kuwait and Dubai are getting the collection and in small very limited numbers. He’s not trying to break the bank with us that’s for sure.
Btw all military styled clothing isn’t just the same. You yourself probably own a few pair of jeans from different brands and different costs. Why don’t u just buy generic jeans from a generic brand and one that costs less than KD20? Because you have certain expectations from the way it looks on you to the material used, the quality and the style/trend factor. You’re not gonna wear bell bottoms because you care about trend even if it’s just a bit.
So when designers take the MA-1 jacket for example and add it to their collection, they’re also taking these things into consideration. When you put on an alpha industries jacket you’ll see a bunch of issues mainly because the jacket was originally created for a purpose and practicality was important. I always found the jackets too short from the back and the sleeves ridiculously puffy. The DailyPaper version of the jacket solves these two issues and also adds patches which give it a further unique look https://www.dailypaperclothing.com/products/patched-bomber-green
IMHO Hideous

Even if they paid me to wear these, I’d politely decline the offer. Anything inspired by Kayne West….enough said.
Yes, because coats are so necessary in Kuwait.
all fashion – ALL of it – is subjective. trendiness is a completely irrelevant concept and if anything it shows our willingness to throw ourselves into herd mentality for the protection our own self esteem- which is largely disappointing and is the OPPOSITE of innovation. If you like it – great. That’s the beginning and end of every story about fashion.
Fashion is subjective of course but I don’t see how a trend is an irrelevant concept. Trend doesn’t only apply in fashion, it’s everywhere from the colors of your Apple Watch straps to the color of your cars. It’s all based on trend. If trend wasn’t important we might all be driving around in hunter green colored cars (insert puke emoji here)
yeah but see that’s only pukey because you think it’s pukey. To someone else it might be the best idea in the world.
you rightly point out that trend doesn’t only apply to fashion (although the examples you give are BOTH still within the realm of fashion in its loosest definition because both examples are visual) – but there can be trendy food, trendy forms of travel etc. etc. Still its trendiness has no relevance. dessert can be as trendy as health food but only one will be good for you – the trendiness has nothing to add to that equation.
So yeah – it still remains irrelevant and the colour of apple watch straps and colour of cars following trends – well that’s just a mask for a human being not developing any sense of self and finding their comfort in being told what to like. You’re in advertising right? so you probably know that people dont buy what they like, they buy what you tell them to like. THAT is the value of a trend if there is any at all.
But you know, we don’t have to agree on this – or anything else 😛 that’s the beauty of not following trends. Different perspectives that can co-exist equally. You like a certain colour of strap on your apple watch and i dont give a shit about the apple watch in general 😛 it’s all good
mungeeman,
something was bothering me while reading this and you summarized it all in just a few sentences. Thank you.
cheers Riba
It’s very informative to learn about fashion and stuff. My idea of fashion till date was going to American Eagle, and picking up their stuff when it is 70% off.
You guys are such haters! My God! Just because you don’t like the collection, Kanye, or Kim, doesn’t mean you have to sit here and talk trash..
I personally don’t like all three but I’m a free human being so I don’t have to buy this collection or support KW. If you don’t like it, just keep scrolling.
wait what? this is what i dont understand about Kuwait. Ppl hate on kanye him and whatever. but then SOMEONE ELSE comes on here and hates on the haters . I mean do not realise you just trash talked the ppl who trash talked. I mean if theres on thing thats worse than a trash talker its a self righteous hypocrite trash talker.
Also, everyone is free to dislike things and NOT keep scrolling. You must be one of those if you dont like GTFO people. Seriously – in the immortal words of some dude somewhere ‘CHECK YOSELF BEFORE YOU STRESS YOSELF’
Congrats! Now you can pay to look like a Hobo.

The idea behind the collection was to create a collection that cold be layered and easily interchangeable. Think steve jobs or zuckerberg with fashion sense. You can see the whole Yeezy Season 1 Collection here.
Woops, I meant to attach this attachment about Kanye. I think he is very talented.

If you’re not in the military, don’t wear military clothing. It just makes you look like a pretentious pussy.
Like it matters what you think
