Has anyone tried the South American restaurant El Público located inside the Millennium Hotel and Convention Centre? I thought it just opened since press releases started popping up last week but looks like it’s been there since May. The restaurant blends Peruvian, Chilean and Brazilian cuisines all in one menu so it sounds interesting in theory but I haven’t heard anything at all about the place.

There are some pretty good restaurants in hotels but I noticed for some reason they don’t get marketed as much. Any one else notice that?
Mark, awaiting your review of the restaurant
I went when they first opened and it was excellent. It’s a bit pricey, but good quality cuisine. The last time at went was about 2 months after opening and the service was off and the food was mediocre. I haven’t been back since but I would try it again to see if they got it together.
there’s a restaurant in the Sahara Golf club area as well serving south American food. Can’t remember the name but its right next to Trampo.
Mana?
Yup. That’s the one. They’re good too.
But surely the place must feel spooky as it got built up on where the ghost villa used to be….
ahhhh, the old haunted house. just mentioning the name ( blue villa ) used to make all shiver
yup, they say the labors used to hear voices during construction. and rumors say they build a mosque on part of the old plot to repel the ghosts.
I suggest that Mark makes a post about the stories & rumors affiliated with the old villa.
and there is also the old Othman palace (othman museum now) in Hawally.
Been there done that. After 15 years of posting I’ve literally written about everything that can be written about Kuwait lol

The Mishref deserted palace! But I think you have to trespass to get into there. Some of my friends who live near it, can see sometimes circles of fire at night on the palace grounds. Only then you can unlock the achievement of “Ghost Buster”.
I haven’t eaten there but the food at the Millenium on a whole is amazing.
