No More Gaucho Grill?

gauchod

The Guacho Grill at Palms closed down a few months ago because the whole hotel is being renovated but this weekend while at the Avenues I noticed that Gaucho Grill there had shut down as well. It would suck if it turns out they’ve closed down for good but that currently looks to be the case since I just checked the Alshaya website and there is no sign of Gaucho Grill there. I’ve already contacted someone at Alshaya to try and get some more information so if I find out anything, I’ll update this post.

Update: According to Alshaya, Gaucho Grill has closed down for good. No reason was given.

Mark,

They got shut down by the municipality because of some violation. And then the management just closed the place completely.
This is what I know.

It used to be a great place with great food..
My last few visits were horrible
I guess the rumors about the municipality shutting it down are true, and maybe the management decided to close it

Well at some point throughout the last year and a half they changed the chef, even their awesome chimcurri dip was disappointing after that.. their whole menu just didn’t taste as good.

Also the municipality found that they served bad meat at the avenues branch.

Around 6 months ago I went to have a meal there and the meat tasted like it had freezer burn. The waiter was very honest with me and told me they were now using the sname meat at ‘Texas Roadhouse’ but charging their customers double for it. Shocking!

does anyone know what happened to Butchers Grill?, that was beside red lobster at Grand Avenue, it has been closed for a while now.

I dined there a couple of months ago. I noticed a lot of items were removed from the menu and the food was noticeably low quality, so I asked the waiter and he told me they were shutting down the restaurant, and that the Gaucho franchise will be no more, and something else will replace it, but he didn’t know if it’s something new or old.

We could use another H&M.. that ALSO SERVES STARBUCKS OMG.

wouldn’t be surprised to see more alshaya brands close down as half the brands are losses financially for the company

I saw the official municipality papers for shutting down the restaurant.
The reasons were using expired goods, using unedible meats and giving false information about thier meat source.

Hope you enjoyed their meats !!

For good man. Two reasons: 1) because the municipality red lined them and shut them down. 2) it wasn’t doing well and the only alleged reason it remained open up until it was forcefully shuttered was because its was one of Mr. Alshaya’s favorite restaurants.
