Sultan Center Now Online

Sultan Center have finally launched their online shop so you can order your groceries online and have them deliver it to your home. Their delivery charges aren’t that bad either:

The minimum order value is 10KD per order Charges: Delivery charges differs with respect to the type of delivery whether express or next day delivery. Express delivery: We charge 1.5 KD for the express delivery, if the order is 40KD or above the delivery will be free. Next day delivery: This delivery is Free of charge.

I live right next to like four Sultan Centers so I’ll always prefer to stop by my local branch but I’ll definitely start checking their website whenever there is an item I can’t find. Actually, maybe you guys can help, right now I’m having trouble finding Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Light which seems to be out of stock everywhere. It’s delicious hot chocolate and just 25 calories!

Anyway, their website is still in beta so there might be a few issues here and there but you can check it out right now by visiting [sultan-center.com]

About time! The web-shop still doesn’t have everything they normally carry. For example, I couldn’t find Chamomile tea, but it’s a start. Has anybody used their “Just Ask” service? It it efficient and reasonably priced?

I tried so many times, they are very efficient. I am paying for good service so I don’t mind paying a bit than others. I usually order a rare/collectible items. Been using them from 2007 till now…
Great service and friendly staff.

Actually they have been around for a while now, I ordered online from them once on Oct 30 last year. They were on time, as scheduled, with a very clean and decent packaging. I guess they are still in Beta though.
I noticed a problem with shipping fruits (and probably similar items), when I actually made the order online, the price for 1KG of apple was, say 400 fils, and when they delivered 2 days later (it was the soonest available date as per their availability and for me it was really a test of the service) the price increased by 10% and they added that on top of my bill, I’m assuming they pack your order just before delivery time to insure freshness. Of course it wasn’t a big deal so I didn’t follow it up (I also chose COD payment option). But I wonder if someone paid by Knet/CC already, how will they request the difference? Basically they should honor the price at time of delivery regardless of delivery date. But I’m thinking that with fruits and veggies it’s not easy to get 1KG exactly and price accordingly, there is probably + or – 100g, so who will take the hit, TSC or the customer?
