unappetizing indeed; must have taken forever to make
That’s silly. There are people starving and instead of kicking starvation, we tend to kick silly records. Food is not a game.
Anyway Hany w3afia š
That looks absolutely disgusting.
Addictioneer is right.. people ARE starving and dieing from lack of food.. instead i wish that woman gave this food to poor families and STILL made a record.. it would make both sides happy (:
I agree with you Angle
Sorry I mean “Angel;*!”

There are homeless shelters and people in Lebanon that give food to the poor. How about, instead of sitting on your computer, being judgmental, you go out and feed the hungry?
I’m not trying to be rude, just another point of view, sick of all this “instead of wasting the food, they could feed the hungry” bullshit.
Kebbeh is sooo overrated.
El7mdlellah. Talking about myself, I do give zakat and sadaqat for the poor people instead of going to them personally so that I can sit on my computer and be “judgmental”.
Hope Arabs will enter Guinness World Records for other things than food!!
That is what we are good at … this is really pathetic .. Arab countries entered the Guinness record with the biggest shish kabab, the biggest shawerma and the biggest kebbeh dish .. in addition to the biggest knafeh dish.
No comment really ..
Well.. I don’t understand what the big fuss is all about except that from my own experience I believe that kebbe is an art.. It is a traditional dish in the village.. and it is merely for pleasure and family get-togethers that the dish has been prepared.. and having tried it in EHDEN! it is very delicious.. It is made from the purest meat.. (goat).. and shared generously between family and friends.
To all the ignorants out there…
Kebbeh is a traditional food in Lebanon. In Ehden it is one of the most important foods we have. The cuisine of Kebbeh has saved lives and communities throughout our history, during war and famine as well.
There are ridiculous comments from people on this page. To the Lebanese who are commenting negatively on this issue, I believe it is more positive to cook and gather together in unity than fight ridiculously as you do for the politicians who have starved the people you are referring to. Shame on you. You know what kebbeh symbolizes in Lebanon. It is not simply a food, it is the unity of the village and family.
To everyone else, if you wish to spend time on laptops attacking arabs for ridiculous reasons rather than go feed the poor, then suit yourself. Italians are known for their pasta, they are not attacked for celebrating that. Mexico is known for tacos. They are not attacked for celebrating that. Americans are known for hamburgers and fries. They are not attacked for that. We don’t attack you for your stupid “Who can eat the most cheeseburgers competitions!” They could have fed THOSE to the poor instead dont you think.
There are the biggest pizza contests, the biggest paella dishes and so on… many things on The Guiness Book which are quite as silly as the biggest Kebbeh dish.
So, get off our backs, get your butts off the laptop, and you go feed the poor!
Kibbeh is an art! And trust me when I say it… none of that kibbeh went to waste. Do you see the amount of people around the dish? And that’s after serving half of the dish!!!
No matter what you think of that village, you must know that the people there are one of the most generous people I have had the pleasure to meet.
This dish fed all the people watching, the workers in that area, friends and family of everyone watching and not a single bite was thrown.
So please people, before judging anyone, check the facts…
Did you read anywhere that food was thrown or gone to waste? Did it say anywhere that the remaining food (if any) wasn’t given away to shelters or orphanages in that same area?
As Patrick said, I don’t want to be rude or anything, but did anyone govong negative feedback about food records try to break a non-food related record? Or are we just happy with discouraging others from doing something fun like cooking for a small village and yet breaking a record at the same time?
Cheer up people!
Nobody would attack your countries traditions Natasha. In Kuwait, our tradition is to have sheesha in Dewaniyyas. But it would be silly, waste of time and money to make the biggest sheesha the size of kuwait towers just to kick a record. Hany wo3afya for all the people who did eat from that kebbah dish and I hope we (Arab) could kick worthy records like kicking Bolts Olympic record.
Some cynics do not know where to put there noses…to them I “politely” say …
If you cannot say anything nice… .. please do not say anything …you only show the world how mean you are and what a low mentality you have…
People like you have not appreciated anything that The Lord has granted his children… (you should be thankful for what He granted YOU instead of objecting to his wisdom)
……yes there are hungry people in the world…and no KIBBI contestant can feed them… there is more food thrown in the parts of the world than what is eaten… go look for that and YOU have it all distributed … and “say you ascinine cynic words there rather than directing them to Lebanon and object to Kibbi celebrators…
Just let the people from Lebanon … who had no peace for over 30 years ….. have a celebration now and then … it does not hurt the hungry, but will give some people pure pleasure… like YOU are having wherever you are …..
… macabrity should stay with cynics…
….and cynics should stay out of sight and not heard..
and keep your minds and mouths clean
… believe in the wisdom of God…
He knows best…
