As I mentioned previously, for the Young Lions competition we had to come up with an advert for the WFP. I just wanted to bring to attention their “Food for Education” program where WFP provides meals at schools so hungry children are encouraged to attend. For only $34 a year you can provide a child with a meal at school for an entire academic year. You can donate online via their website and even have it automatically deduct from your credit every month to save you the hassle of manually donating monthly. It is a good initiative. But now a days you have to know exactly to whom your money is going to and what’s being done with it.
In other words, Is there a religious background behind it ? what will the kids be taught in school beside basic sciences ?.
I have to read more about it, otherwise It is a really good and convenient way to do good in todays busy life.
well its not about whats being taught in schools since the WFP doesn’t provide the education. what they provide is an added and important benefit for the kids to go to school. the program is also available in a variety of countries and different religions, you can check the list here

finally only 7% of the donations is spent on overhead which is a very little amount.
kuwait would use some of that money for their public school cafeterias.
Awesome, I like the idea. But would the children still attend school during Ramadan if they are conditioned to go for food lol?

lol good question, have no clue what happens during ramadan. maybe thats when they get food rations to take home.
