If for some reason you need to leave your house during this storm, you can find out about road closures via Google’s Live Traffic feature. Just go to Google Maps and make sure the traffic overlay option is turned on and any closed roads should be highlighted. [Link]

When 50% of Kuwait is submerged under water and your boss still wants you to go to work…
So….. are you suggesting that shops, hospitals, cinemas, restaurants, airport services, banks call center, delivery services, Hotels, etc. should have a day off because it’s raining??????
Cinescape canceled all the shows yesterday due to prevailing weather conditions. Anyway work goes on…at my place colleagues residing in the Ahmadi and Farwaniya governorates were asked to leave early.
Yesterday I was at VOX cinema and as I didn’t notice any shows getting cancelled.
Anyways I enjoyed my movie at VOX Avenues 🙂
Well yes. When a country isnt advances enough in 2018 to deal with some rain, and risk peoples lives due to poor governance, then yes, I too suggest that all those that you named take a day off, because they are in a country that can’t deal with rain, due to inability to design simple infrastructure.
Every country on earth is designed to withstand its annual rainfall in 5 hours continuously. I’m sure your house is designed to withstand the rain with drainage surrounding the house, a slanted roof and electronic leak detection systems because as you just stated if you arent ready for completely unnatural weather then you have poor governing ability and you just put your entire family at risk. Btw is your house designed to withstand a snowstorm too? And a tsunami or the sun exploding? Have you people actually developed after the age of 5? “The government this, the government that” the government is working harder than any government I’ve ever seen and they don’t ask for a penny. You are acting like a child who blames their mum for not doing their homework or not arriving to school on time.
Yesterday I timed it, it took less than 30 minutes to flood my street.
It’s cheaper to let things be, than build an infrastructure for a few rainy days every decade.
Oh great! i thought only my company was working today.
Stay safe everyone.
Rich country great job. All the health issues that will come out of all this.
Lol no. How do you think a country like Kuwait would be able to do such a thing in 2018.
This is fed by peoples google accounts using thier cell phones tracking.
I’m assuming these are fed by the Kuwait government. I applaud them for doing that.
All this rain is nothing what comes next could be bad. All this erosion will case roads to sink foundation to shift. there will be sink holes. everyone get ready the worst may be coming.
You should be the new Kuwaiti minister of Geology.
Fyi sink holes are caused by underground water.
But your ability and understanding already qualifies you for high government positions that should deal with policy and planning.
1) There is no minister of Geology, just like there is no minister of Biology.
2) Its not called underground water. The proper term is ‘ground water’.
3) Sinkholes are indeed caused by rain. Here’s a very simple video with cartoons to help you understand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2EgbacA1oU
Your ability to spout utter BS and sound authoritative doing it, does actually qualify you for high government. FOR REALZ!
Thanx, Chip.
once the rain stops more to contend with for sure.
Thank you for the clarification and compliment.
You can also tune into 99.7 where they are broadcasting road closures updates on the hour in multiple languages.
I wonder if people have insurances on their houses etc that would reimburse them for their losses. Especially people with basements and lower levels, not to mention the cars and garages that got flooded..
You should put the bottle down before typing.
I have never heard of an completely unnatural weather.
If weather is unnatural, then what is natural?
An oxymoron, emphasis on the non oxy part, but weather in nature, tend to be part of nature, hence should be natural.
