A friend of mine forwarded me an email that contained a whole bunch of pictures of old Kuwait which I thought I would share them here. If anyone knows the original source of these photos please tell me. To check out the pictures click on the link below.

I got these by email a few weeks ago as well. It was in presentation format “compliments of Kuwait Petroleum International Limited”, so I’m guessing they have the originals. The title mentions that they are “rare pictures of Kuwait taken 60 years ago by an Aramco employee”.
Actually some of the pictures above were in the email, not all.
I had NO idea that’s how Kuwait looked then. These are some absolutely great pictures. But what’s with the Arabic text?

Pic 34 is of a cinema. I have 1 of my brother and I with a King Kong cutout in the background. Which cinema is this?
