Beach Cleaning

Spotted some UAS students cleaning up the beach near McDonalds this morning. Beach cleaning seems to be a popular thing lately, I wonder if there is some kind of coordination between all the beach cleaners so they don’t end up cleaning the same strip of beach over and over.

Clean the beach from what? sand? I love the idea of cleaning and tiding up ur hometown, But I dont see the point. Theres no law here againist littering and if there is, its so weak I couldnt even know there was a law againist it.
But other than that, Nice work

This effort is useless when the government is dumping millions of metric tons of raw sewage into the water for the past 8 months. Not to mention the chemicals KOC dumps in the water on a regular basis. For a people who’s culture is centered around the sea, this is shameful!

I dont even think beaches get dirty in Kuwait!

So I’m kind of confused as to what they’re actually cleaning?
Should go ahead and clean the roads and pavements, there’s quite a bit of litter on them compared to the beaches…plus theres the added element of DANGER from crazy drivers muahaha!

wow, i never thought i would hear the name of the school that i graduated from on any blog, lol, boy was i wrong.looool. good going!

No use of cleaning ! or not getting dirty ! or waste of the time..!

i think we all of us need to do that and more than that for our community.
if you want to see what they clean.. go Thursday night or Friday and see people eating and leaving their garbage behind of them !
it was really a good effort they did and am sure they learn very good thing like how to serve there country in different ways. i really hope all learn from them..

well done : )

if ppl think the beaches are not dirty here in q8 they must be on something… cigarette
butts, used diapers, trash bags, pufak empty bags, broken glass, cans and the list goes on and on

Cleaning the beach is great… Although they wouldn’t need to if people would just taken care to throw their own trash in the bins. It pisses me off when people throw plastic cups, cigarette butts and plastic bags into the sea at the Marina crescent. A few months ago I was at the marina and there were 2 cleaners in a boat picking up the trash from the sea and while they were picking up trash there were a bunch of boys walking on the side just throwing their cigarette butts and plastic drink cups into the sea. Its like they don’t give a @&^*.

I have a Junior Youth classes for ages 13 till 15 that we learn together the service concept and we do lots of activities together. and there is a book also that we read together that includes small stories with different concepts
its really great.

this is funny / why don’t they clean the sea water by stopping dumping refuse water,, that would be more useful for us swimmers.

School beach cleanups have always been put to practice in Kuwait. This is not something new at all. Bravo UAS. I hope it helps the students realize that dumping their garbage out the window is terribly wrong.

we tried to help kuwait and make the ppl see that we can make a difference stop being so negative. try to do something. all we want to do is help.

Do all the people that claim the beaches in Kuwait are tidy and clean ever GO TO ANY OF THEM?!

We collect in Mangaf alone at least one big black trash bag a day and that almost every day.

After the weekend where many Kuwaitis (yes, Kuwaitis) spend their well deserved weekend at the beautiful beach it can come up to 2-3 big trash bags.

And I am with Dude here.

Just send some positive vibes to the people who try to make a change to something good and who try to raise awareness instead of just being negative.

And even if people clean up the same stretch of beach over and over.
People leave a lot of trash and the tide brings in more. Some from boats, but most of it from people who left their trash close to the tide lines or from where the wind blew it in the ocean.

There’s enough trash for everyone 🙁
