Cinemagic Kuwait, is organizing these events as part of its efforts to contribute to the development of an internationally competitive Kuwaiti audio-visual production industry, partly by bringing the filmmakers and audiences together and by Increasing the public’s interest in – and appreciation for – the art of film-making. Cinemagic movies are screened in the old Salmiya, on the roof on top of Alghanim Electronics and LG. There is a KD1 charge for the venue fees which includes refreshments, popcorn and much more. elias.. fa you think it would be appropriate to show a fat phillip seymour hoffman do the nasty to marisa tomei to a bunch of guys and girls in public??

tsk tsk tsk.. you should know better than this!

ya3ny mayseer il film ily ma3a hal laq6at?!

remember oldboy? you know that sick scene with the father and his (you know what)?? would it be okay to show it in public? i doubt the ministry of (information?)would approve of this.

If you take that scene in Oldboy out you take out 90% of the shock in the twist. The ministry of information don’t approve of anything anyway, and it’s not like their censorship has any effect, I’ll just pirate the movies instead and hurt kuwaiti businesses that are trying to charge to see them.

Volver its an excellent film, atm OSN HD Movies is having the Broken Embraces another movie from Almodovar. for those who like some Foreign movies.

Volver – highly reccomended.
Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead – Haunting, Complicated. (Should be censored? WTF?)

no progress?! please do explain!!

so progress wont happen unless we uncensor movies? 3abqary zamank!

Censoring movies is just a sign of a weak society that can’t trust people to make their own decisions. If you’re doing it for the kids’ safety here’s an idea, pay attention to what the hell your kids are watching. They can see naked women at home on OSN uncensored.

Overall a great list. Some very heavy movies, like Dancer in the Dark and Lady Vendetta. Surprised to see a Lars von Trier movie finally.

Definitely going to catch a few of these.

The Park Chan Wook movie in 2005 was released under the English title Lady Vengeance not Lady Vendetta.

It’s part of the Vengeance trilogy, all good movies but this one especially (the final one) is extremely depressing and I can’t bring myself to watch it again. Very good movie though.

If anyone wants to get into the trilogy (they’re unrelated characters and plots, just similar themes) Oldboy is the easiest movie to jump in with.
