Demonstration outside my window

Not sure what it’s about, I’m guessing they’re firemen since the demonstration was happening right in front of a fire station in Kuwait City.

Update: Arab Times have an article on this protest in today’s paper [Link]

Why doesn’t the government give all ministry workers a salary raise across the board, since one by one each ministry is going to protest for higher salaries? Kuwait Airways is scheduled for 8 Oct and then the customs guys are scheduled for 9 Oct. The civilians working with the police went out in the streets today, maybe this is them? If one ministry gets a raise then the others get jealous, then they want one to. Human nature. But KA complaints really showed mismanagement. The article stated, one guy is paid 1200KD whilst another guy doing the same job earns 6000KD? Who earns 6000KD per month? I want that job!

i passed through that area,i knew i will find it here too.

I dont know why everyone wants a pay raise,no one seems to work hard enough to be paid.

people in Kuwait Airways dont work, they just take pay and look for party all the time.

Because a couple of sectors got a pay raise and the rest want one too

Meanwhile in the private sector we work twice as hard and get paid the same amount 🙁

Exactly which is why Mexicans endure horrible working conditions with no health care, no way of obtaining legal documents including drivers licenses, yet they continue working hard. Because if they don’t they get the boot.

I think they are waiting for the Credit and Saving Bank they are waiting for it to open, since they approve for Women who are married to a non- kuwaiti to get 45T.

I read it in the newspaper today it was because of a chief or some high ranked person. They were protesting against it.

inflation…wait for it…it’s coming and it will hit us hard. Won’t be worth staying in Kuwait for expats if prices keep going up.
