Around 20 days ago I posted about my trip to the post office and how I sent a package to the States using EMS. It was a positive post that encouraged people to use the EMS service since it was easy to use, not expensive and packages would arrive to the States in under a week.
Well it’s been nearly 20 days since I mailed out my package and has yet to arrive to it’s destination. I also can’t track the package for some odd reason and so I have no idea where it currently is. Going to pass by the post office after Eid and see what they have to say about this.

My son was mailed his I-20 before 2 1/2 months and yet to reach my post box. He, then, requested second copy of the I-20 by DHL and now has joined his classes at UT, Dallas, while the previously mailed I-20 has not yet reached to Kuwait. I think Kuwait postal system needs a complete overhaul and this can be done only if it is privatized.
I honestly sometimes think that people intentionally make services of the government sector bad so that people will demand they be privatized and some merchants will benefit out of this.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if the people in charge of these services are already under the payroll of some big shots in order to fulfill such an agenda.

I mean, all you have to do is look around and you you will realize that the laziness, bad service and unreliability are kind of intentional. So that people like you and me will complain, take it to parliament, and demand that these services be privatized.
We are being used to fulfill angendas by proxy without even realizing it.
You don’t need to think, it’s obvious as day. It’s deep-seated corruption on all levels.
Kuwait Post office already lost 3 packages of mine.. 2 from Amazon and 1 from another site… I have had to reorder them all again, this time through DHL/Fedex.. And super pricey shipping at that… NEVER going to use those incompetent a-holes again..

Skynet.. less than five dinars usually. also offers tracking.
Skynet ship only documents.
fedex told me over phone they offer discounts STARTING FROM 25% if u open an account with them.
skynet ship same as dhl and fedex but cheaper and not only documents as i am using them 2 or 3 times a week mostly to ship Mdv films 10 to 20 films each time.
I think registered post works better. I’ve sent numerous letters via registered post and it usually takes approx. 14-21 days but all of them have reached ( i’ve sent around 4-5 letters in the past year)
Lol, I read the comments on the previous post and most of the people were telling you wait and watch.. Hmm, seems they are right.

Try going to Kifan post office, all the ems is dropped there.
if you have a package number or tracker or airway-bill it would make life a lot easier trying to find it.
If the forwarder listed your Kuwait mobile or home telephone number on the address you’ll get a call within 3-4 days after shipment to go and collect your shipment; if not, Keifan Post Office will mail a pink slip to your post office box [giving the ship number] and ask you to collect the package at Keifan.. Alternatively, if you have the EMS Number, you could check with Keifan Post and they will check their records and most probably your ship will be in their store.
Kaifan it is. Hopefully its still there.

There is a reason EMS is so cheap. It’s unreliable, with my experience with them sometimes it works out perfectly and sometimes the package gets lost. I hope you find out what’s going on mark good luck.
Why would you ever think that a public service here would work properly? The postal service in Kuwait is a black hole, which is why courier companies can get away with charging high fees – they know the alternative sucks.
That’s what I told you! I sent Xmas presents and although it appears you have a tracking number, it isn’t even hooked up! The post manager told me their employees steal a lot! Pay extra and use DHL/FedEx etc! Sorry!

That’s what I said! He says they can’t prove whole stole it! I told them they should put cameras and be monitored! In the end they don’t care!

Hi Mark, The delay could be caused by hurricane irene, especially if you are sending the package to the east coast.
Doubt it. Postal service in Kuwait is simply unreliable and barely functions.

I have ceased to use the postal office since….2000? Around then. I used to use them to get DVDs delivered from Amazon.com. I have lost/never received DVDs around 3 times, and each time I’d email Amazon, they would luckily send another DVD at no expense which would finally reach me. They’re very unreliable and will remain so. There’s a reason these shipping companies charge us such high prices – we have no other choice!

Kuwait postal service really needs attention and on a huge scale.I wa sent a package from US last September and till date have not received it.It was sent by registered mail. Every week i pass by the EMS center in Keifan and get the same answer “we have not recieved it yet”. As per the postan service in US, the package is in Kuwait. since it was a iphone, I leave it up to you people to decide what could have happened to it.
i had my incedent with La Martina Polo.. about a year ago and yet till now nothing arrived 🙁
I did try the same things, it has been 3 months since then, still does not reach the destination. In my case, I don’t even bother to track down my package …
DHL or Fedex are the real options …

I doubt it has left Kuwait in the first place! cause as soon as it leaves Kuwait and get into the hands of usps then definitely will be delivered in time.
Not exactly true. Ask any american about usps and u will get the same answers u get from kuwaitis on the kuwaiti postal service. I tried usps and the tracking system on their site doesnt even work!
Ab7ag, you don’t know what you are talking about. The USPS is more reliable than the Kuwait Postal System, for many reasons. The tracking system on http://www.usps.com only works well with packages in the United States, anytime they get handed to ANY agency that is not the USPS they can no longer reliably track it themselves and therefore cannot update the tracking info on the site. This is the case even if it goes into the APO. I used to send and get stuff sent thru the APO/USPS and my packages used to arrive within 7 days, and I’m not talking business days I’m talking about 7 days total although sometimes taking up to 10 days max. So yeah, as an American I’m telling you that you don’t know what you are talking about when it comes to the USPS. Oh and if you come back with “They also steal in the USPS”, I’ll tell you now that it’s probably true that it might happen because nothing is perfect but at least in the USPS it’s an exception to the rule as opposed to Kuwait where it’s the rule and the management admits to it with no shame in his voice.

My friends have shipped me cloths from china using EMS and the tracking number said it arrived kuwait in KWKWIP do you know how can i contact them?
Did the package arrived? I’m worrying about my big box now… Full of the gifts for families from china… The EMS china side showed it arrived Kuwait two days ago then no more information… Should I just go to their office to ask?
The same happened to me. It arrived to KWKWIP 10 days ago but no information on the matter after that. I am a bit worried. Anyone knows who to contact about this?

Hello,I am from Malaysia.My parcel was sent to Kuwait instead to Malaysia from Germany.It was sent by EMS.Do you think the EMS in Kuwait will transit my parcel to Malaysia?.It doesn’t have any written word ‘Kuwait’ on the parcel.Only Malaysia.
It have arrived in Kuwait on the 2nd Nov.Till now,there’s still no update from the Germany’s post website.
