Engrish of the day

Found these two signs today and thought I would take pictures.

blinds
Blinds in English is plural for window shades.

Bumb
B as in Bebsi.

Update: In case you didn’t get it, the first picture says Blinds which doesn’t mean blind as in the person can’t see. Blinds means window shades so instead of the sign saying the Kuwait Association for blind people its saying the Kuwait Association for window shades. The second picture, bump is misspelled as bumb.

No dude, I am saying that Kuwait Blinds Association means the Kuwait Association for Window Shades. Blinds doesn’t mean blind.

In the second picture Bump is spelt BUMB. Jeeeez how much more clearer could i make this post.

Wow!! They’ve really out done them selves with the logo.. The whole eye in a circle.. So creative!! And to think that the person who approved that speed bump sign couldn’t have noticed that one of the three words on the sign is spelled wrong, now that’s just plain stupid.. What about the person in the production.. No one noticed? Is it so difficult to find someone with more than 5 brain cells that can speak english to do it.. Not some guy who flunked school at the age of 15, comes to work and smokes 3 packets of “box abyath”, reeks of tea AND replaces all his P’s with B’s.. Sorry for ranting!

Even the blind don’t approve of being called blind.. it should be more sensitive and more politically correct.. they should call it “Kuwait Association for the visually impaired”.

In the Blind Association’s defense… you know the blind don’t really give a shit about a sign with bad spelling.

Ha.
