Fight at Villa Moda

Yesterday night a fight broke out at Villa Moda in which the cops had to be called to come in. Believe it or not the fight was over a bag. Seriously I am not kidding!

n keep in mind that ALL brands there are jus replicas! i’m not kidding! i broke a pin on my bag once n happened that i was in london, took it to the shop there n told me its not real!

i never buy anythin from q8 anymore, even if i had to pay lot more 4 shipping!

Blasha thats total bull shit. Don’t believe everything you read in emails. If the official Prada and Gucci dealer in Kuwait are selling replicas they would have had their franchise pulled ages ago.

i dun believe emails Mark, it happened to me 3 yrs ago. and i’m not into fashion nor buying many accessories, but when i get sumthin i need it to be real dammit!

Blasha, as Mark said Villa Moda doesn’t sell fakes. I have been to many events at their store where there have been representatives from Italy or France from the actual brands so there is no chance that they would be selling fakes. I’ve checked the websites of Gucci, Prada, Miu Miu, and Dolce, and all of them list Villa Moda as a location, if they had fakes the brands would have pulled out years ago… It’s really sad that people actually fought over a bag, but they do have nice bags!!!!

I have heard the story of “oh, when i was abroad, something happened to my PRIDE AND JOY of [insert accesssory here] and took it to the store there…and they told me it was fake” from like 3 different people.

Sometimes when people HEAR/READ something, they believe it SO much, that they start believing it happened to them!!

Just sharing…now let the ONSLAUGHT BEGIIIIIIIIN!!!

So which bag was it?
I’m not going to judge these women until I know which bag it was.
🙂

I would fight over a burger
McDonalds Employee: Sorry sir we have only one more quarter pounder left so which one of you will have it?

WOMEN WOMEN WOMEN …fite over a bag… hahahah LOL !!!

SORRY blasha | even i dont blv it.. i have been buying frm them for 5 yrs now…. they just cant sell fake… maybe the guy in london wnted u to buy from him…

I have first-hand experience of this kind of thing. I was working for an unnamed company here in Kuwait in 2006. It was 75% – 90% off all shoes.
I had to ‘referee’ when a Kuwaiti woman insisted that an asian expat removed the shoes she was trying on. She explained to me with a straight face that she had more right to the shoes because she was Kuwaiti. When I explained the concept of ‘first come, first served’ to her, she threatened to have me arrested!
Needless to say, the asian woman bought the shoes and I had to call security to remove the Kuwaiti woman.
I never heard from her again, but I have to wonder why she was so intent on having a 15KD pair of Nike’s!

i agree with Blasha . recently there was a huge VILLA MODA shipment of fake leather goods at customs which was confiscated ( bags mainly ) .. it was on the news as well !! i wouldnt buy anything from VM for sure !

seven: Again don’t believe everything you read in emails. There was a large shipment of fake goods confiscated but it wasn’t for Villa Moda. Don’t be so gullible.

You can certainly tell a fake a mile off if you know good quality. Villa Moda has superb quality, premium designers brands that are not fake. There maybe some ugly bags there but they are of impeccable quality. There are some nasty fake designer bags in Kuwait but to the “trained eye” they are merely nasty fakes. I had stocked up many year

you know for all the educated people who are in this forum. I say to them, what has happened to Kuwaiti people these days men and women?NOT ALL! but majority. These days you see fights happening in malls, and now a fight over a BAG. A stupid BAG. I am like thinking, why LACK OF EDUCATION? Racism? Snobbishism? The year is 2009, we are going to 2010. Over stupid bag women have fight over. What would their excuse be, I FOUGHT FOR FASHION! I embarrassed myself over fashion.

my bag wasn’t from VM, it was from LV kuwait, it was fake! but VM, LV or GUCCI, i’ll never buy anythin from q8 again 🙂

but it’s also up 2 all of u to do the same or not 😀 after all thas jus my opinion

Blasha what you did here was utterly irresponsible. You came in here and accused villa moda of selling replicas based supposedly on an experience that happened with you. Now you’re saying you didn’t even buy the bag from villa moda! Seriously thats really fucking lame, I would have expected much more from you.

K…I wont buy bags from Villa Moda…cuz from what i heard i’m not sure about buying bags from them…and here is the thing….if u wana knw that the products that they sell in q8 is fake..just go to the products website and have a look at their branches all over the world…if u see q8 in it then their is no way they r selling fake items here!!!

Oh, please, Villa Moda doesn’t sell fake bags. Sheikh Majed is actually friends with many of the designers. Do you actually think he’d sell fake bags if he has a partnership? Besides, they buy the bags in wholesale price, which is a fraction of what the bag really costs. For example, if a bag is 600 KD, they bought it for about half the price, thus making a major profit. Villa Moda is a recognized fashion retailer, being hailed by the likes of Elle Magazine, and even Anna Wintour at Vogue. There’s no way they’d sell fake goods, which would jeopardize their businesses and relationships with the fine fashion houses. Thus, the rumors necessitating that Villa Moda sells fake goods is absurd. The fake goods that were confiscated were to be sold at places like Souk Salmiya. They even had pictures of the fake goods in the article, which looked extremely fake (i.e. the cheap fake kind). Get over it.

Its really nice to see the reputation VM has and the trust that its clientele has bestowed on it…but people..please remember…if it can be done, it probably is being done…

I for one miss the Kuwait Villa Moda, the VM here in Dubai just reopened at the DIFC and is only a fraction of the size and brands, not to mention the tent sales in Kuwait is out of this world…

Sheikh Majed isn’t part of Villa Moda anymore. In fact, he’s completely out of the whole company. These days he’s focusing on his art gallery, Al Sabah Art & Design, at the Corniche Club.

Villa Moda sales are nasty. They bring out all the stock from previous seasons, and I still think even 50% off is not enough for the garbage thats out there.

The Manolo shop is a disgrace to the image of Manolo. Whoever is doing the buying needs to take some tips from professionals.

Above everything, I won’t buy anything from VM simply because they still sell animal furs. I’m not doubting that they sell genuine goods, I’d just like to see FAKE fur rather than real fur.

Im sick and tired of people who have nothing better to do than to talk about shit lilke this .

Vila moda ( im not a customer ) is a respectable Joint . end of Issue

AndyQ8 , get a life .

there im done

Typical, innit? Makes one realize just how common VM’s become of late.
Did it take the men police to contain the situation, or their women bedfellows?

I personally think it’s a silly thing, bs el3yab 3nd elbab :S i don’t know how to translate it. It means whenever you make fun of people/things, you can be sure that life would be short enough to get right back at you.

but to tell the truth, bags could be a treasured item in a girl’s closet ;p
