Fire next door… again

Fireman

Around 10 days ago a fire broke out in the building right in front of my office and today a fire broke out in the building to the side of my office. The firefighter in the picture above was really pissed off at the other firefighters driving the fire trucks since they all parked in the wrong area and he was trying to get them to park in front of the main entrance of the building. He was screaming at everyone and even at the cops who had parked their car strategically between the firetrucks and the building on fire. I snapped a few shots and then left for lunch.

I really hate to diss those whose jobs it is to serve the public, especially in the interest of safety and protection.

However, when it comes to our incompetent and amateur civil service Im afraid I cant help but unleash a well deserved torrent of abuse.

Have you seen our cops turn up to the scene of a crash? about 10 of them show up in their own cars, sirens wailing and lights flashing, near almost causing 10 further accidents in their haste!

Our firemen, well, Mark you just showed us again at how even “parking” abilities leave much to be desired. I myself witnessed a fire van block an entire road (uneccessarily might i add) whilst attending to a crash on the opposite side of the road. He later felt the shame after 20+ cars all started honking and he realised that he would be better off parking at least on the right side of the road (note there were no flames and no gas spillage), plus the victims had ben removed from the wreckage. Someone obviously wasnt in contact with them giving them updates before they arrive on scene.

Anyways, moreso than the police and fire, i worry about the paramedics in their beaten up abulances the most. These are the guys who will rush to your “aide” should an accident occur. Their miserable arrival time aside, Id like to draw to peoples attention that these people are unqualified as a bunch! I have seen them drag bodies from cars (hello neck brace, cut open the car, stabilize the individual first you shit-heads, otherwise u could cause irreversible damage). I have also seen them drive at speeds of 160km/h + in rush hour traffic… hmmmm yeah why not take another few lives with you whilst you’re at it.

Basically, you have a greater chance of dying if the paramedics turn up on the scene. A friend of mine lost a sister because these guys didnt bother identifying that although there were no external wounds, internal bleeding was serious. My 17 yr old brother himself had to advise on how to carry an injured rugby player from the field and into the ambulance as they were just rolling him onto the stretcher (even though the guy had a spiral fracture along his tibia)

Take care folks, and if u see the green overalls coming your way, beg the guy next to you to tell them NOT to touch you until a qualified person is on the scene.

Perhaps someone should introduce a private ambulance service that you can call instead of 777 or whatever.

Amen

I think you have a firestarter running around in your work area. Description, short with red hair. Approach with extreme caution.
