Gulf Road Barricades

The cops have started putting up barricades on the Gulf Road in preparation for the National and Liberation Day celebrations this weekend. Like last year, foam sprays are banned again this year but traffic will still be chaotic on the Gulf Road so avoid it this weekend if you can.

Thanks Roy

We should not fear a National Day, it is supposed to be a day to celebrate. Why does everthing in Kuwait have to be this way? The planes are all filled, and I think it is unpatriotic for people to leave their country during their national day, especially when they lost it at one point. Emirtis don’t flee their nation for national day and expats celebrate along with them, it is a joyous time. Think about it.

LOOOOL @ Othman!!! So TRUE! Specially that some of them have been shifted from Bedoon to Kuwaitis… Man THEY ARE GONNA PARTY HARD!!!

I literally fear this weekend, i buy lots of food for the house cause its impossible to go out on the 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28th..i feel its a war zone..if the ticket to dubai wasn’t 400 kd then we would leave too..cause staying at home cooped up isn’t so much fun..and sadly i idea of fun for those “patriotic” people doesn’t match what i think is fun or patriotic..water gun (with everything but water inside) harassment, ruining cars, hitting cars, iraqi music? do they know what they’re celebrating a9lan i highly doubt it..god bless kuwait just remember on the 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 keep kuwait clean..

Who cares anyway?! The great National day – Liberation day exodus starts happening tomorrow.
Expect the airport to turn into a Souk Samak, of sorts beginning tomorrow.

Oh yes, this year it is guns filled with soap water. People were sprayed last night at Ahmadi….Nothing is gonna stop them

The National Day is supposed to be fun. I remember back in the 1980s when shows, carnivals, and programs were held with lots of activities. Why the sudden change? Although the fireworks were amazing last year.
