Kuwait Times on Al-Rifai Crash

This is from the article in Kuwait Times about the Al-Rifai crash:

A Kuwaiti woman crashed into shop in Salmiya with her four-wheel-drive vehicle. The woman put her vehicle on in drive instead of reverse and then accelerated quickly. Her vehicle crashed into the shop and broke the glass door causing KD5,000 worth of damage. [source]

Ok so it turns out the woman WAS Kuwaiti but the biggest surprise here is the KD5,000 in damage. According to this picture, looks like the only thing that might have been damaged was the computer at the register, how did they get 5,000 worth of damage?

the glass was broken too and those windows are mega expensive… plus of course it will include compensation to the company for loss of business… maybe some produce was damaged as well….. and maybe they included the cost of damage to her car 🙂

1KD = $3.412 to be exact! lol Im stickler for numbers!

But at least they stated the truth! And she might have knocked whatever was leaning on the window into the store and destroy things in the back! Every women should take a manual driving test! That will make em better drivers!

ok lemi tell u what hapend, i know the woman. 1) shes lebanese 2) she wasnt drunk as some papers say. 3) ok so lemmi tell u what exactly happend, she WAS goin to al rifai BUT while she was trying to park she lost her brakes therefore she couldnt stop the car, so as u can c she went into the shop. oh ya 1 more thing say she was acttually parked and “accedently” put the car on D instead of R,she sould have realized that the car is moving in the wrong direction by the time she takes her foot of the brake paddle.
so thats my story 😀 enjoy 😛

so then she was trying to park a car (reverse or straight) at a 90 degree angle and lost the brakes? Bullshit.

(Kuwait times looool)
Egyptian sorcerer

A Lebanese female expatriate reported to Shuwaikh police that an Egyptian (who claims to be a sorcerer) embezzled her out of KD 120. She added that the Egyptian man asked her for money and she gave him 400 fils but the man told her that she was cursed. He told her to give him all her money. She claimed she was frightened and gave him the money. However, he took the money and fled.

Well, what do you think the damage could be?

There is damage to the building which means repair people have to come in. Somebody to repair the glass (very expensive), the stone stairs in front of the store, the wood frame of the shop window, the computer on the table.

Also, damage to the car is damage as well, this can easily reach several thousand euros (repaint, body work), at least here in Europe.
