Kuwaiti police officer held at gunpoint by a drunk

This is pretty messed up. The video shows a guy who seems to be drunk holding a police officer as hostage with a riffle. Does anyone know if this was a recent incident? [YouTube]

Update: Video has been removed for some reason, did anyone manage to copy it?

Isn’t this the same incident that happened in front of Bayan Palace a while back? The guy is asking for Sheikh Majid in the video, same as the other guy during the hold up. But I remember that he took his wife hostage, not a police officer. And in that incident no one was injured.

Can anyone confirm this?

“Abeeeee il Sheikhhhhhhhhhh Mazennnnnnnnnn!” LMAO wala maskhara. He held an officer hostage because he wants to see a Sheikh? What did he want the officer to do, haha? It looked creepy, nonetheless. Apparently, he can’t handle his booze.

yeah 5th i think.
Apparently he was drunk, but the cop didnt get shot if im not mistaken, he was taken into to police custody soon after the hold up. However i think it had something to do with his wife like you guys pointed out. The cop i guess tried to get involved and got caught up in the action.

either i have lost my edge .. or u are retarded.. when the country that used to have no such thing as neighbors but blood brothers and sister .. where everyone knew and cared about everyone .. turns to a sort of hollywood movie scene, where in a dry country, a guy gets drunk and threatens another human being’s life ..
you think its funny .. i would love to see the look on your face if you were in the cop’s shoes ..

dj will thank u, i think its extremley rude of the ppl laughing as they would not want anyone of the ones they care about being in the police mans position, even though many but not all police officers need immediate intensive PR and how to converse with ppl courses not all of them are bad as the ppl forcing themselves to laiugh might indicate. there is no humor in human suffering including the wasted guy, so i hope ya’ll who laughed feel like idiots when uu mature

@qube: Hahahaha its funny huh? i want to see your fucking face when a person points a gun towards your retarded brain ..

well to start with, i agree with people who think this is not funny!!
second, i think anf from what i can remember, the police officer was not held hostage against his well, he was leading a negotiation with the guy, and he was successful at the end in taking the guy’s gun!!
so i think this is not an issue to laught at, and we do have good cups around (not all of them though)

This is why police officers need guns in kuwait. The drunk idiot is lucky i wasnt on the side of the street otherwise i would have grabbed a rifle and blown his knees out. In the states that guy would have gotten 5 years for pulling a gun and 10 years for firing a bullet.

I feel we should never make fun of the police officer, since he got caught in the mess so as to help resolve it. Now u can see his life is in danger. The police officer also has a family back home , like us.

That’s right kudos to the cop for staying alive. I know they can be a pain in the neck most of the time, but you have to feel sorry for this guy. Happy to here he was ok in the end.
Heyy I thought this was a dry state LOL :O))))

Apparently the whole thing was about his house being occupied by ghosts and he wanted Shaikh Mazin to help. He wasn’t holding a rifle Mark. It was an AK 47 Kalashnikov. Where the fuck did he get that kind of weapon?! Ah it is sad what Kuwait has come to.

Yousef, This Doesnt Make Sense, why whould a big able man go looking for Shaik Mazen to get rid of Ghosts in the house? is that the coverup story they came up with? this was personal,, I Know S. Mazen was ruthless back in the Day, That dude was drunk and had a grudge on what Mazen did to him, it was personal , and to some who posted, no Q8 is not dry, just because some of you cant get it dont mean it is,,,

very far from it

One Luv – Ty

@ post 29: Apparently u havent come across many drunk ppl

and ak47 are very common, because almost everyone kept weapons after the gulf war.

@ Tylenol666, A lot of things in life don’t make sense. And i don’t think we will ever be able to exactly figure out the whole deal behind this hostage situation. Many crazy people in this world.

But from what I’ve heard, and this can be debated, that S. Mazen did actually meet with the guy, and the guy hugged him or something like that and asked him to get rid of the ghosts in his house. I will try to find the newspaper article and post it for you guys to read.

Anyways, some people are just mentally fucked up. Just like an incident that happened a while back when a Kuwaiti man killed his wife and son because he alleged that the grandson of the prophet came to him in his sleep and ordered him to kill them.

@ Adam, I bet they are, the other day I passed by Slider Station and there’s a gun store right next to it. I saw this kid (i could swear he’s not older than 16 years), come out of the store with a Shotgun in its case in his hand. He got into a car (with a driver, proving that he’s underage) and just left. I was shocked that such a kid has access to weapons.

Allah Yastir.

There are unfortunately some retards in this world that think this is a funny situation. Beeing held at gun point by a drunk person, can only lead to one thing, resist and get shot or hit the floor and stay there, until the asshole is taken out. The officer acted accordingly, I would have tdone he same, cause there is no reasoning with a drunk person. So for the clowns commenting, let me see your ego get in your way and see you reasoning with a drunkard armed with a semi automatic, ow yeah I will laugh my ass off when you get shot!

@Yousef
The guy probably went to pick up his father’s gun. Besides that, people can legaly obtain hungting shotguns but you have to reach a certain age. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Like driving a car, which kills people everyday in Kuwait more than guns, you have to be careful and responsible.

EIther way, without adult supervision, things could go wrong.

Kinda shows how nobody is ready for anything here!! That man would have received a head shot from a sniper if this incident took place in the US or anywhere else for that matter! holding a police officer hostage with a rifle?!?!?!? thats just a ticket to the after life!!

`And for everyone laughing at this situation..well..i will say it again..everything changes when there is a big gun pointed at your face!!

yea hunting guns are ok, but normal guns are not and can only be purchased with a special permit. That permit is hard to get by, and depends on ur last name or if ur in the military special forces, either way everyone needs to be approved.

I couldnt see it because its removed .. maybe because who shot the video is one of the officers who was there .. or maybe he got a call to remove it .. or maybe the vidoe gots in the authorites hands .
