Last summer a group of students from the Kuwait University went on a trip to the Himalayas. They first arrived to New Delhi in India and then took an 18 hour bus ride to Manali. They stayed there for 3 days prepping and then headed on a 5 day trek of the Himalayas. Whats cool is they actually filmed their trip and uploaded it onto YouTube. They’ve got them divided up into 5 parts and you can check them [Here]
The video above is a quick summary of their trip. Looks like something I would want to do one day.

Amazing experience! I too would want to go for such trip some day.
I was in india for 5 months doing business, didnt like ANY thing in india but always wanted to go to Kashmeer or Hemalayas. I was free only on weekends but two days are not enough…
what did’nt you like abt India ?
A lot! clean is a strange word in india, good smell is also very rare, difficult to find smooth road, driving is simply a mess, people always stare at us like we came from different galaxy, food is like battery acid, the restroom will be your best friend cos the food is dirty, and more….
I assume you were on a business trip to either Mumbai / Delhi ? Where else in India did you go about exploring ?
Well Kuwaity.. U certainly didnt have right people guiding you in India.
India is a very large country – every 500kms is different in terrain, lifestyle and food. U ought to have researched and gone. This pretty much goes for any country u visit.
Well done 🙂
this is great!!
Loved the idea and the spirit
I’ve always wanted to invite my friends (a majority of whom are Kuwaitis) to go with me to the north of my native Pakistan, but, I fear that they might not go just because theres not much luxury up there. Hopefully this video shows them how much they’re missing just because there isn’t a lobby in the hotel.
Going there on a bike in September will keep you posted!
@hellraiser: Are you going on the Leh-Khardungla biking trip?
With in first 70 Kms of our ride we will start climb Himalayas. First day of our stay we will stay close to 8000 feet above the sea level. We ride over 3 highest motor-able mountain passes in the world. We will reach the highest motor-able pass at 18,350 feet on 9th and 10th day of our ride. The trip is full Himalayan experience.

Absolutely stunning. I have been towards Spiti and Lahaul on this route. As I said.. its not for the weak hearted or those looking for luxury. These are the mighty Himalayas at their best.
Hellraiser.. U must do Spiti Lahaul or Leh/ Ladakh..
I was one of the people who went there. We actually hired a guide who is half british/half turkish and he did all the organization. I would recommend him but he ain’t luxorious if thats a problem you have.
google mustafa adventures and he will help you out.
ARGH. I wish my friends and I hadn’t been too lazy to vlog our trip…8 of us at BSK just got back last week from trekking the Himalayas in Nepal for 6 days. Amazing experience; definitely the sort of thing everyone should try out at some point.
We also organize such trips too.. be it mountaineering or white water rafting. But these trips aren’t for the faint hearted. The food and stay element is well looked after – part comfort .. part roughing it out.
this trip was amazing! we got great memories!! =)
