Anyone know whatever happened to Latina Mina the 99.7 DJ who was drunk and started cussing on the air? Did she ever end up getting arrested? Did she leave Kuwait or is she still here?

She left Kuwait. My mom’s friend knows her personally. After the incident she left Kuwait cause she got death threats from 3agads and other.
She left the next day.

Bring Back Latina Mina…..is like a cry for “Bring Back Booze”…………
She has a Kuwaiti passport so she wasn’t kicked out, but she left the country.
Good she left. Her show was boring. The only time I enjoyed it was when she got drunk! She was sometimes on air on Thursday afternoon, bad time slot to listen to old Latin music!
Also bring back Latina Mina does not mean bring back booze! Don’t do a “bush” you are either with us or against us! Even tho I don’t like Latin music, I’m sure some people liked it but don’t drink! She messed up! Leave it at that and let God judge! I didn’t like her either way!
Whats wrong with booze? It’s only good business when 2/3 of the population are not foreign.
And don’t forget the minority of Kuwaiti non-Muslims.
I’d like to also mention if there is something you don’t like, respect others and accept their preference.

I don’t think u understood my comment. I am actually saying to respect others and not judge. My comment about the booze was in response to someone saying bringing Mina back is like asking for booze to be back which is not true. Just because some people like her doesn’t mean they agree with her actions. I do drink but I didn’t agree with her behavior. I also mentioned I didn’t like her as a dj but each to their own.

WoW weed is better than booz cause if your high you can’t talk all you do is mumble and you can’t drive a car fast like drunk guys or girls do you will be driving on 20 km/h and think your one 140km/h that’s right weed is better than booz so don’t drink and get drunk smoke and get high that is better for you and the people around you
P.S I am a Muslim and I don’t drink or do drugs but I know weed is better than booz why you say cause weed doesn’t give you a hangover and a headache and all of that

My cousin is an Engineer at the Radio Station and we had met a week after the incident. He was saying that they DO have copies of all recordings including that particular incident and have been offered thousands of KDs for it from several sources lol but they can’t give it out, something to do with the MOC.
I don’t give two shits about booze, but this person was using profanities on public radio. Good riddance. There is no way you can justify this behavior, it is unprofessional and quite frankly, downright stupid.
So what if she cussed on the air? Whats the big deal.. Most of the Music we listen to is full of cussing, and when it isnt we complain about it being censored. If she felt like cussing, then let her cuss away, and if someone has issues with it, just change the frequency and listen to something else.
99.7 needs to be revamped – new presenters, new music..the whole lot. I wonder if the management keep track of number of listeners and if they have ever listened to other stations to see how it should be done!

For the love of mother n child, would someone please get rid of the horrendous RJ that goes around by the name of Linda.
She gets track names incorrect, will throw in the most cheesy comments and tries to talk music on subjects she knows jack crap about.
RJ’s should be quick witted, friendly and know how to communicate and entry and exit of a track- I havent heard one decent RJ in Kuwait on any of the radio stations here.
