Maba7es

When I was in high school the scariest word to me was maba7es. Ten years later and the scariest word to me is still maba7es. I just sent in my article to KTM magazine yesterday and a few minutes ago I get a phone call from them telling me that my article is illegal and if they go ahead and print it I might get a visit from the maba7es. They wanted to know if I was OK with the risk. I told them I would think about it and give them a call back tomorrow with my answer. A very nice start to my journalistic career.

whether its the CID , FBI or any other intelligence agency. All have the same reputation of being harsh towards the culprits.

LOL KKKuwaiti, that’s like the first thing i told mark. maba7es is like how massri’s and hindis say it or something.

hey mark ..

in kuwait we have freedom of speech, so dont worry, Nd dont tell anybody about wt u wrote untill the MAG release that if u wanna make fanz of “Mark” :Pp~ , by the way is the Mag free ?

Don’t publish it on the magazine. Publish another article about how things like that should not be illegal, then publish the article online and from an overseas based website. You could also link to it from the magazine article.

lol it’s Maba7ith

it’s depend on what you write about it

in kuwait you have a good freedom of speech in newspaper and mag but not that much as you like

btw what the subject you write about ?

It would be easier to judge the nature of your article if you mention the subject you are trying to address here. Whether its religion ,homosexuality, politics , or any other controversial issues. Its better to be safe than sorry and as i know that you love kuwait from the bottom of your heart so leaving the country may not be a good option if the article has some controversial subject . Because the people in the immigration go nuts on occasions .

Freedom of speech my a$$!
And they tell us we have that in our constitution and that the only thing you can’t talk about is the Amir.

So basically, you wouldn’t be doing anything wrong according to the constitution and law, but you’ll be hitting a nerve in some uptight people who’ll use thier “power” and arrest you or whatever, VERY pathetic of them….

Mark dude – u have made the right decision. It’s not worth it. Just stick to regular articles & reviews – you have a loyal following and your stuff is pretty interesting.

Mark you can have a sanitized version of the article in the magazine and point the readers to a ‘Director’s-cut’ on 248am 😀
