No Telephone Line for 2 Months?!!

As I have mentioned before I have a telephone line problem at home. There is no dial tone and its not just me, its nearly everyone in my block. We already called the post office to complain and they told us that a note was written to the technician but he hasn’t picked it up yet. If by Saturday the phone lines aren’t working we should send an official complaint. My parents who live next door have asked around in the area and it seems some people have had the same phone issue for over 2 months now and no technician is coming to fix it. Their complaints are going unheard of and now I am worried my phone line won’t be working for another 2 months also.

What can I do to have my problems solved quickly? Who can I call to complain about this? Is this a helpless cause where I just have to sit and wait for things to get solved by themselves?

Don’t call anyone .. Calling will take you no where. It happened to me. Go to the exchange (postoffice whomever controlling) and complain to the manager. Complain personally let them see your angry face. They will fix it believe that

Finding the manager is the difficult part! But I think you should try going to the manager! This is rediculous!

my neighbour had 7 lines and we are allowed 6 only in the house where I live, it took me 4 months to connect when i first moved to salwa.
you are welcome to come anytime, got an extra room you can use, ask nibaq about it πŸ™‚

I live in Salwa, I have lost my connection for over two months now and still the cables, as Communication Ministry employees put it, are not fixed, they say it’s the contractor’s fault, who is suppose to deal with the contractor? Me?
I resigned to GPRS, although I’m still paying for my Fastilco DSL.
And btw, last time I had a problem with cables took two months to fix, and both damages were because of the rain.
The weather doesn’t look in favor of our cables.
Hopeless case.

Man that really blows. An area-wide problem. I say personally go up to Ministry of Communications, tell them “I WANT TO F****** COMMUNICATE!” and I think they’ll answer your call. They’re cowards, trust me on that one.

I wish they would privatize! First thing is fire everybody! FIRE EVERYBODY!!! And then close the lines for the people with bills and who dont pay!!!! And make sure everything is working fucking great!

buy an old 80’s chevy caprice, take the plates off, wear a ski mask and start driving around hitting every single car you see.

forget about landlines just stick to mobiles and get EDGE net service.

I agree with above posters. Why don’t they just privatise? Anything government run sucks! Just get in private cable companies to provide phone, internet and TV! The problem is of course is that they would have to fire all the current employees who do not have a clue what they are doing, but are probably paid huge salaries guaranteed for life.

Ive had problems with my telephone line and I dont even live in a over populated area such as hawalli, salwa. Like the above… welcome to Kuwait buddy πŸ˜‰
