On their way to die

The Daily Mail has photos and an article about the two executions that were carried out yesterday. Their article also has over 900 comments so far with the majority of the commentators praising the executions. Here are some of the “Best Rated” comments on the article:

Well – THEY won’t be raping and killing again… what a concept!
– John

Nice one Kuwait …… hanging is the ‘green option’…. hardly any carbon footprint.
– Captain Calamity

Rape a child, you need to die. Period.
– farsideoftheworld

People may say that it’s inhuman and barbaric, but crimes like these are very rare in Kuwait due to the death penalty. Sadly in this Country of ours, there are no deterrents for any crime!
– UK was great

Now why can’t we do the same here in Britain.

Whether you kill them or not, it’s not going to unvictimize the victims. It’s sad that people care more about killing the guy than getting the 17 or so kids some help.

Why are you assuming that they are not getting any help? Do you know that for a fact? Actually, by knowing that whoever did that to them is no longer loose & he has paid dearly for what he did is the first step in their long healing process..

Exactly, nobody commits rape thinking “Oh man I’m glad the penalty for this is life in prison and not execution!!”

ESPECIALLY not 17 times.

So what do you expect the government to do with the rapists??

make them do the laundry of the victims for life? you’ve got to be kidding me…
these guys are animals… specially to rape innocent children.

I’m with you.. these guys shouldnt be hanged.. these B******S should be tortured day in day out till death..and that death shouldnt come quick.

You don’t think living your life in jail is a worse punishment than just dying?

Especially with how child rapists are treated in jails by the other inmates.

No I dont think…
given life in Jail.. they will be tortured for a year or two.. n then its just gonna subside..

with time he is just going to be a regular guy in the jail.

u seem to be very much in favor of these rapists…
get yourself treated man..and stay away from kids.

@aaa… I’d love to know.. god forbid.. is somebody rapes your kid… will u be content with the rapist spending life in Jail?

psychological studies has shown that the greatest human fear is death. Well done Kuwait, we wont be seeing more of these rapists soon!

rapist do not deserve to live in a civilized community.

How long do you want them to be alive?

Harsh punishments for these kinds of criminal acts is the way to go, not give them a life behind bars..

When someone commits a crime of this nature, they exit civilized society and forfeit their right to exist among us. It’s our responsibility to terminate them and purge the land of their evil.

My only take on this is that such criminals shouldn’t be given the time to live for a few years… Why waiting 6 and 7 years behind bars? They should be executed immediately.

Because they must have a fair trial and be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they did what they were accused of doing. This takes time and 6 years is normal. Some cases in the US, for example, take 20 years or more.

In Kuwait the criminal, afaik, needs to be found guilty in 3 different courts before being executed.

That takes time and lessens the chance of innocents getting the rope.

I wonder when my country India will hang guilty rapists and murderers. It seems like rapists in India have become aware that our government doesn’t give a shit about giving the death sentence to rapists/murderers so it keeps taking place on and on. Rapes have become more and more common in the news since the Delhi gang rape/murder and the world is become aware about how disgustingly pathetic and out of shape our legal system and law enforcement is. Even tourists are thinking twice before buying their tickets.

While Kuwait has done a great job of stopping future such crimes, I wonder if Kuwaiti rapists who rape filipinas or torture their maids ever have to go through the death penalty or a hard life in prison. Wasta habibi!

Dude.. praise for what they’ve done. not everything has to go through I wonder what it would be if that was a Kuwaiti.

I know for a fact Kuwaiti murderers get the death penalty as well. The woman who set the wedding tent on fire killing 57 people is on death row. I think she’ll be hanged in the next hanging IIRC.

The first time Kuwait executed anyone since 2007 was a few months ago. Most serial killers and rapists get the death penalty but rarely get executed in Kuwait (executions happen like 3 times every 6 years).

There are several Kuwaitis on death row right now. A Saudi was executed a few months ago.

Most Kuwaitis who rape get life in prison and the death penalty — however most people with the death penalty, Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti, don’t get executed.

It’s high time we restored law and order in this country. Suspension of the death penalty is partly to blame for the large number of premeditated murders every year. The Avenues slaughter of a young man is but one example. Enough is enough. You kill, you get a fair trial. If found guilty you get killed. End of story.

Having read some of the comments on the original article I am somewhat surprised at the overwhelming support for capital punishment in the UK. It appears people are simply fed up with rapists and murderers being supported in prisons with tax money. Yeah, I would be pissed off too if I were a Brit. “I rape your child, you pay for my accommodation.” This is utter nonsense.

Guys, do you remember like I guess around 10 years back that young Egyptian girl who was kidnapped in Khaitan and was raped… Did they execute that guy? I don’t think that they did!! Does anybody know?

Yeah you’re right. I guess if someone breaks into my house with intent of killing my kids I shouldn’t defend them and kill him. That’ll just make me a murderer.

I guess if someone charges at you with a knife you should just stand there and not protect your self, there is a chance you might kill him and that makes you a murderer… Actually yeah just stand there you’ll do us a favour .

“People may say that it’s inhuman and barbaric, but crimes like these are very rare in Kuwait due to the death penalty. Sadly in this Country of ours, there are no deterrents for any crime!”

I doubt it. This guy raped 18 children, that’s 18 incidents of child rape before he got caught. Rape is underreported everywhere and Kuwait is no exception. I suspect that’s even more true with children who may not know what happened exactly and may be too afraid to tell.

I am for the penalty, as long as the judicial process is right and proven beyond doubt, that the executed is the perpetrator and not some poor soul, who just was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
