A reader emailed me saying she was on the 5th ring road and there was traffic because a pedestrian bridge had collapsed. Does anyone have any more info or pictures?

No pedestrian bridge has collapsed in the Salmiya area. All 4 of them on the 5th ring road look fine. Just passed by on my way home and saw them being used by people.
Similar incident many years back. Pedestrian bridge on fahaheel large chunk fell on moving car…

Nothing of that sort happened I guess it was the usual traffic nothing more
I remember the one that got clipped by the oversized construction equipment on the flatbed on 6th ring about 4 or 5 years ago! Now that was crazy seeing half the walkway laying on the Messila bound 6th ring side!
