Pictures of the Free Trade Zone dogs when they were alive

I just found out that one of my readers used to pass by the dogs in the Free Trade Zone and feed the dogs every morning. According to the reader the dogs were very friendly and harmless. He even set up a Facebook page asking people to save food left overs and give it to the dogs. Below is taken from the Facebook page he created for them:

Pooch Help – their fate is in your hands.

A group of friendly dogs stranded; probably left there by the friday market barbarians – are in need of continuous food supply. Me and Mom have started providing them with their essentials on regular basis but unfortunately their numbers have increased and require much more attention. I have noticed recently some traces of additional support from kind individuals which I have not met on site; I thank them greatly for their commendable efforts and would like to encourage anyone who still carries a fraction of mercy and capable of assisting to do so.

All that’s required is that you save food leftovers and get it delivered to them.

It was very sad seeing these dogs dead but it’s even sadder going through all the pictures on Facebook and seeing them when they were alive. [Link]

in our country philippines we have law for violating animals…imprisonment or taking cares of animals after the violation. so, kuwait must have this kind of law in this country,for them to learn how to respect the life of an animals,or else the whole world will look them BARBARIANS in the way they treated animals in this country…

yes but liz, isn’t it the philippinos and the koreans who eat dogs? has the law been successful in the philippines from educating people about that?

Ethnocentrism gets you nowhere. While I would never eat a dog, that shit seems disgusting. I love dogs, and I have nothing but compassion for them. In Korea the act of eating dog is slowly dying out, but they have special breeds that go to the butcher.

It’s like Anglo culture finding out that we eat camels, they’ll think it’s gross.

I remember seeing those playful dogs. They were never aggressive, and always stayed out of peoples way.
Once i tried to play with one of them, and the dog felt comfortable and safe enough to come close to me.

News Flash to you Kitten_boy:

1. The U.S. issued reports on ‘how to treat workers according to the US guidlines’ … kuwait ignored till this day.. (we have the laws, its just a matter of reporting the incidences of abuse).

2. A few months back human rights watch had a news conference asking the government to ‘include transexuals’ in society… the result is a huge backlash from society against it… i.e. ignored.

3. The US Treasury reps visited Kuwait a while time back … asking to freeze the funds of some anti-US activist in Kuwait … the government later unfroze his funds.

list goes on …

Lolooooooo yes he is right.. Human Rights law’s is a joke. They took what they wanted and left half it out. Words from one Kuwaity.. they can not expect us to it all at ones. One small step at the time.

Those animal “lovers” with mental disorder?

Do you know PETA don’t want people to have animals as pets? They consider animals as humans. Do you know that they lie? and terrorize people for the “cause”? Do you know that they are nothing but a bunch of naive but rich spoiled brats?

Thank you for these posts.. the public needs to look after the inhumane idiots that do these things and it needs to be stopped.. today.. or in 30 years like the rest of our “plans”

Mark I sent you two emails informing you about this over a year ago. This was when we at PATH first realized this was happening. We thought the best way to fight this would be to raise awareness. I emailed all the popular blogs and newspapers, and all of them including yourself chose not to write about it. While I’m very grateful that you are now publicizing the plight of those poor animals, had you and others publicized the initial cull last year we could have prevented this new massacre.

These dogs are probably left by some owners.. or how else did they get there? Why not put a lil spot light on those owners.

Again, why are dogs killed… not street cats?

I would say because they are more dangerous to pedestrians than cats… People do get attacked from time to time.

If you want to save these dogs… go round them up and put them in your house.

in the us the lost dogs isnt get killed by the goverment if they coudnt offer them a home or some one try to adopt them ? and isnt wrong to feed these dogs in the streets and make them come more for food and make trouble cause even in the us they dont aloud dogs to live in the streets and they shelter them for a while then put them down that what we see in the movies or not ? these dogs have no control and if them harm my kid who i am gonna blame ? u or the goverment or the dogs them self ?

it should be a better solution then try to feed them with out a shelter and make them come in groups searching for food in every street and garbage isnt right ?

havent thought of it that way. so what would be a reasonable middle-ground solution to this? putting them down quicker and more mercifully than hour-long poisoning? maybe it Would be more merciful in the long run since most of them would starve to death anyway..

You are right, feeding them is wrong. Food means stronger and more pups…equal more street dogs.

omgoodness he must’ve been devastated. I do the same to a couple of dogs around our apartment complex, they’re a mother and her pup. hope we dont end up finding them in a similar state…i don’t even take out my own dog anymore due to these incidents. but since the K’s path people said the poison is mostly mixed with food and looks like dung, guess we’ll just keep an eye out for those and dispose of the problem one spiked poop at a time?

ADUCATION to learn how ta care for a pet, how to deal with the problems that comes with it. This starts with the parents, past down to the child. Preventing the pet to end up in the street, dumped when bored of it.

These dogs are Huskey mix, Labrador mix and German Shephard. They came from a house where someone bought a dog, when problem happen, dumped it on the street.

You can support K’SPATH education program in the schools. Ask for a program in your kids school.

Street cats keep down the number of vectors (rats, mice and roaches)that would otherwise overwhelm any city placed near the water with open, overflowing dumpsters everywhere.
I will pick mangy cats over wharf rats any day. Won’t find a cat crawling up through my toilet drain in the night, for sure.

this is so sad.. I remember my friend shared a video just only a couple of weeks back, he was playing with those pups

Wtf.. There were 8 small pups in that under-construction mall-looking place just 2 days ago.. N now they’ve disappeared.. I used to feed them proper food and they were so happy.. Where are they now ? Did someone take them to a safer place due to the food poisoning?
