Dar Al Shifa Hospital and the Kuwait BMW Motorcycles Club are delighted to cordially invite you to the first annual Ride-to-Save Drive 2008. Kuwait’s first ever motorcycling event committed to raising blood donation awareness.
The event will be held on Saturday, 19th April, 2008 starting 3:00 pm at the Green Island parking lot.
Join motorcycling enthusiasts as they ride from Green Island to Dar Al Shifa Hospital, Hawally to symbolically demonstrate their support towards the importance and benefits of blood donation. To practise what they preach, the participants will also donate blood at the Hospital after the ride.

I hate to be mean and everything. I really appreciate what the guys are doing and all.
But, is this how they show support? by riding bike from Green Island to the hospital? Whats so supportive in that? wouldn’t it be better if they volunteered in helping people in there or something instead of just dragging their bikes for few Kms?
Yet i appreciate the spirit of supporting and all… but they’re supporting in a wrong way (well its just me)
LOL. So they’re trying to cell more bikes? So more people get into accidents and end up at Dar al Shifa? Now thats a great advertising. lol.

This is amazing, it’s time we have some social responsibility.
The bikers will donate blood , which means they are getting more & more responsible ,which means more responsible people with les accidents,,,,so it is not as 3zeez says to sell morebikes So more people get into accidents and end up at Dar al Shifa?

its not the first in kuwait, plus i hope they manage it well (blood deprived bikers on bikes in May on the road, danger !!!) better bring on the doughnuts…..
many bikers ride safer than many car drivers. lets look at the bright side instead.
is there statistics that says anything about motorcycle accidents are higher than motor vehicles accidents? up and until then, lets turn things around. why wait for other nations to do stuff like this blood donation and bikers thing then copy them? ! ! ! ! !

The Drive has been canceled due to bad weather
The Event has been rescheduled. It will be held on Saturday 15th November 2008, at 3pm, starting from the Green Island.

social responsibility should be every kuwaiti organization.
events like that happen in the west, but hey, its okay then. it happens here, we start nagging. lets be objective.
whether the bikers or fans, we all should take part in donating blood because it saves lives (period). the event is a reminder and a nice one too lets make it a point of good deed.
this is a sign of good culture, so honestly i love it. its always a good time to create good culture.
