Someone posted the following in the forum:
Yesterday on my visit to the aquarium of Kuwait Scientific Center, I noticed that the Zubaidi (Pomfret) had eye infections.
Most of them in the tank had a whitish curtain over their eyes and the tips of their mouths were injured (as a result of not being able to see properly, I am assuming they kept hitting their faces on the tank).
I tried to look around for a person to report this to, but none was around. If anybody knows anyone in the scientific center, could you please tell them about this ??
I hope someone from Scientific Center is reading this. Thanks. [Link]

No worries Mark i just was on the phone with the CEO of the Kuwait Scientific Center (father of my friend) and he assure me that he will take an immediate action regarding your observation. He told me that they (Zubaidis are having some fights, so it might be the reason.)
I first visited the SC many years ago when it opened. Frankly I’m surprised the fish in that place have lasted this long. I feel bad for the cute little mouse thing that hops around in dim lights. What a life.
I was there yesterday and Rami noticed the same thing too
we used to fry this fish back home.. or maybe the fish we’re eating just looks the same..
hope the scientific center dude saves ’em though.
I’m happily welling to take them all and release them from there misery.
but i have to get new freezer firs.
Your best post so far.
That’s not the only problem with the scientific center management… I tried to find someone I can speak with about a very important issue for weeks until I gave up! The girl who told me she was in charge was extremely rude so I just forgot about the whole thing and fell out of love with that place.
Not only that they were swimming on their sides and going in endless circles
[email protected]: please pm me with your concern to me, and i will pass it directly to the CEO i promise.
it’s so unhealthy for animals to be in such a confined, loud and dim lit place.
I felt that the animals there looked somewhat sad and fatfukka the mouse is still hopping around
The best place for Zubaidi is in the stomach
by eating mo6abag zubaidi :p
there are a lot more violations which i saw from the TSCK management, not only towards their animals ;p…
plus i CANT believe they actually have their employees work 3 days out of 4 during EID!!! i was stunned to see the same guy there on seperate days, he was kuwaiti and was SWAMPED doing atleast a 3 man job all day long, didnt see him sit and he reluctantly expressed that all employees were facing the same dillema he was so he was okay with it?…sure didnt look like it
fat-fukka da mouse :P???
I can’t get this .. i’m hearing about Fishes looking sad, living in misery in dim conditions, suffering anxiety and depression!
We’re talking about FISH. Fish i had for lunch just hours ago
fish… dont they all look sad… i mean what more expressions can u excepect from a creature with eyes on the side of their heads and cant go anywhere but forward…
ROFL ^
Its about time Kuwaitis speak about their dearest Zubaidi. If one of u guys can speak to S.C. big boss, then I have this idea that can return 40 ton per year of Zubaidi without land or water surface area needed. Its already working in the Caribeans. Big cages of 20x10x10 Gargoor like. North sea borders are ideal.
Ten cages like that can introduce 40 ton per season of high healthy quality without effecting the already existing harvest.
