Sulaibikhat Beach

According to K’S PATH, thats a picture of Sulaibikhat beach here in Kuwait, home to mangroves, flamingoes and many bird species. Sucks. [Link]

Update: Below are before and after pictures. According to K’s PATH they manually collected approximately 2 tonnes waste from this stretch itself in a single clean-up operation of 4 hours. There’s still lots to do to protect this fragile habitat and they’ll be back at Sulaibikhat to clean it up on Fri Jan 6th, Fri Jan 13th and Fri Jan 20th. Absolutely right. I really wish people would show more respect for the country. Saying the right phrase in a social situation or wearing your ghutra in a certain way doesn’t make you a true patriot. [you is general here]

And I noticed that the mentality of the people here is if everyone is throwing rubbish, we might as well do the same OR some cleaner will pick it up after us.

Just wondering why no cleaning company has been assigned for such locations ?

Majority of it looks plastic ,it can b given to recycle factories.

One company that did the recycling of the trash we collected just got bought by another company and doesn’t do this no more.
You really think that they would go there and pay people to do it, when they don’t want it for free?
🙁
Hard to believe, I know 🙁

Thanks! Usually Expats get bashed for saying something aloud.
We DO have quite a few Kuwaitis on our clean-ups though.
Some are waking up & I hope it’s a trend to the better.
