My sister emailed me my old class photo taken in the early 80’s while I was in Sunshine School here in Kuwait (its now called BSK). Its a pretty cool retro looking picture with lots of nice colors, check out the larger version [Here]

The $1M question, where is Mark?!

You guys must admit that taking pictures of little kids in the blazing sun is torture! Look at the poor little guys cannot even open there eyes for the picture! (Ya3nee Sunshine school by word by meaning)

hello all!I was in the sunshine school in the 80’s. I’m looking for a teacher who used to be there: MR.NOEL GREENY. If anyone knows anything about him, please speak up. I’ll check this website regularly .. and thank you.

Last seen him in 1990 at the NES. I think he told me he was teaching at KES at that time (not sure)!He might have returned to Ireland!

my name is debbie stout and i worked at the sunshine school from 1981-
1986. i really enjoyed my time there and often think of the children i taught. i still look back on photos i have.

I was a very young student at the school between 1984-5 I think. I don’t suppose you remember me?!? I can remember the first time I decided I wanted to be teacher (yes i was 4 years old I think!!) and it was because I admired a teacher at the school – I just don’t remember her name!! It would be great if you could give me any info on little Nour Yassin…

Where you the dutch teacher? I was a student from 1981 until 1984-85. I remeber a dutch teacher because I kept talking to her in Dutch. I had a great time and I was wondering if you have any pictures?

Don’t know if you remember me, hope you do.I taught at the Sunshine School 1984-1988 .I started the football team with Tommy Gerathy.Hope they did well.I’m sure they did, we had some good players.If any one remembers me drop me a line.

i was born in 82. My best friend was Nadine. I had another girl friend named Malek. I wish someone can upload the school pictures from our times.

I was Born in 81,,,I remember that name maybe I was in ur class nebyu the kid with the afro….

Well I used to attend SUNshine in this time. Later on I will post a class picture to show how I used to look 🙂

We used to play together in Grade 1. I remember you came back to school from your overseas holidays and you had your leg in a cast from a skiing accident.

hi, I attended the Sunshine School in the mid eighties and my teachers name was Mrs janet Austin. Moved to Norway in ’88, would be fun to know what happened to people in her class!

I attended the BSK from 1986 for 3-4 years.I had a teacher named Ms. Terry and a teacher from Czechoslovakia who taught org lessons and Ms. Ivana Belohorska. I remember having the checkered light blue with white color collar uniform then ofcourse to the gray skirt with purple jacket and tie. Had my b.day party at Wendy’s & another place (i forgot name) where there was the choo choo train. ohh childhood i miss it…

Mrs. Ivana Belohorska is my mother. She retired in 2001 and returned to the UK, and is now settled in Swansea, Wales.
I used to also go to Sunshine School and briefly to BSK in the 90s.

Really I remember a Nebu briefly. Can’t say if you are the same one. The one I knew was in Junior 1 before the Gulf War took place. If you are the same one thats good to see and hear from you. Though our headmaster at that time was Mr. McCormic if I recall correctly. So you most probably aren’t the one I knew sadly 🙁

Hey Mark nice to see a fellow Senior from that school. That place has a lot of fond memories for me yes even me being bullied over there are now nothing but fond memories over there. 🙂 Call me weird. Would love to get in touch with any all of my classmates and teachers of that time.

Any way thanks for a trip down the memory lane. Now I want to find others with similar memories.

I graduated this year from BSK, which used to be called “The Sunshine school”, and i really loved the comments above me! Great school & Great years!

I attended sunshine school in kuwait somewhere around the 80 for kg and junior years as they were called back then … dont remember much but i loved the school and teachers.

This is amazing!! Been there from 87 till 90 i guess, and everything started to come back to me now! The playground, the classes, the costumes, Showbiz Pizza Place!! I remember Mrs. Heather and Suzy. I think there was a music teacher Chris. And I certainly remember Mrs. Vera! I’d love to get in touch with old friends!

What a pleasure to revive and relive all those memories. I graduated in 1988 (Teacher: Mr. Noel Greeny from Ireland). Our music teacher was Mrs June Stevenson. Arabic teacher Mrs Maha. Remember classmates; Tarek Rahhal (friends till we both joined the NES), Tarek Ziad, Tarek al-3asi (great footballer), Hussien Nabil Hussien, Amro el Wasseem, Amer el-Abidy, Denny Kurian, Azza, Amira Shaheen, Illia Haroun, Nadeen,and many many others.

I’m a little late to this party!

I went to The Sunshine School in Kuwait in the late 80’s early 90’s (pre Gulf War).I’m not in the picture above but the memories it brought up are a real treat.

I’ll always remember Mr. McCormick’s morning assemblies and his stories, each with a vital moral to take away.

Also attended Sunshine School in the early 80s through to the invasion. I remember many names (too many to list here) Mr McCormik definitely rings a bell and so does and Delia and a Ms Margaret and this lovely English teacher that I once bumped into randomly in London😂 She brought a rabbit to class once.
