I just saw this video on iLSuL6ana’s blog of the flood that happened in Kuwait back in 1997. Whenever I tell new comers about it they keep thinking I’m exaggerating. It really was that bad. [YouTube]

I remember some jet ski’s on the street
i remember the day on november 7 1997 the day my sister was born
Yes, I remember that day. I was stuck at work until 11:00 pm and my office time was suppose to finish at 6:30pm!
I remember that night so vividly. The incoming clouds of the storm were the darkest blue I’ve ever seen on a cloud. The lightning was intense as well. I remember we had a test at school the next day, and I was praying the rain doesn’t end and school gets cancelled.

It was blue? It was green clouds for me lol. Scariest thing ever.
Remember it too. We were on our way to my grandma’s house and the water was getting into our Yukon while driving on the 4th ring road. we had to spend the night at her house because it was flooded everywhere. It was scary.
I remember this.
The next day at school we had a huge test and i kept praying that the rain doesnt stop. and it kept raining & school was closed for 2 days.
I was so happy that i thought god really listens to my prayers.
Guess who was really disappointed with god when prayers for a drowned school wasnt answered!! -_-

I was sitting in my office downtown, watching what appeared to be a black blanket descend over Kuwait.
I left work a little early (4:30 or 5). By the time we reached Salmiya, water was coming over the hood (bonnet) of my friend’s Wrangler.
Trash dumpsters were floating in the street. People’s cars were stuck everywhere. It was surreal.
