The new Al Manshar Mall

A 3D tour of the new Al Manshar Mall in Fahaheel that will be replacing the old one. Looks pretty big. [YouTube]

Thanks Eddie

1. So the ‘old’ Manshar is just going to be called Al Kout. What is the existing Al Kout going to be called then?
2. Anyone who’s been to Manshar (which in itself was a brand new mall) will not find ANYTHING different in the promo above – Manshar was exactly like that anyway! Except without a Cinema maybe.
3. Demolishing a new mall and making another one exactly like it with no substantial difference is a huge #FAIL in my opinion.
4. While you’re at it, why not expand the road between this area and Alghanim/Fahaheel Bazaar. Its effectively a single track with bumper to bumper traffic all the time.

The new Al Kout is going to replace the Manshar mall, towers behind it as well as the old souk behind, so its actually going to be a large scale mall rather than a small scale mall which is what al manshar was.

The big problem with the old mall was the lack of parking; this new mall doesn’t seem to have fixed that problem at all (unless there is underground parking too).
Large mall + very little parking = time to avoid Fahaheel!

Why replace the ‘old’one?? It isn’t very old, is it? And I really like Al-Manshar; it is one of the few malls that have some local style to it. The new one would be just like another ‘Avenues’.

They need to is tear down the park behind it as well and connect the road that runs along the refinary to it. And since their is no view behind there they might as well build a multi-level parking garage.

I wonder what kind of wall they will put up to block off the cemetary which is the empty field pictured by the mosque. It was a nice view overlooking the cemetary for the people who lived in the apartments. People with money are not living in these areas so who do they they will flock to it now? The owner must have money burning a hole in his pocket so building a mall might make him feel better or is it money laundering? There are 4 more restaurant complexes being built now along Gulf road, how many more places to eat do we really need?

Can anyone make a cheaper more affordable GOLF RANGE then? or just a simple golf drive (the one where you just stand and hit some golf balls)??

Or something other than malls?

RE:Parking- go to 1:10 in the video. There is underground parking. How much underground parking? No idea.
