Bike Box Bike Storage

Post by Mark

Bike Box is a specialized storage facility for motorbikes. At first I didn’t really understand the purpose of it but after talking to the team behind it I realized why it could be practical for some people, especially those living in residential buildings.

Bike Box is a place where you can keep your motorbike parked and not worry about it. Their facility is safe, clean and air-conditioned. They also provide you with free servicing for your bike, free cleaning, lockers, changing rooms, battery charging, electrical ports, and a fully equipped garage. As a bike owner myself there are a couple things that always concern me, (1) my bike is going to get stolen (happened to my barber recently) and (2) the battery is going to die because I’m not riding the bike enough. Bike Box solves these two issues and more.

The reason I was originally hesitant to post about Bike Box was their price which starts at KD55 a month. But according to them the reason their monthly price is high is because they want to encourage long term customers since they’re hoping to create a community and not just offer a service. If you do decide to sign up for a year, the price drops down to a much more reasonable KD30 a month. I like their way of thinking and at KD30 a month I can see a lot of people wanting to use their facility, so if you’re a bike owner and are interested to find out more, check out their instagram account @bikeboxkw

That is a great idea and definitely useful for some. I heard about the same being done in Dubai but for cars, targeting those who have luxury cars and need them stored and taken care of when they are traveling or what not.

That’s awesome. Where are they located?

I saw this thing being advertised in London for ladies’ handbags! (They were focusing on lack of space in cramped London homes)
They offer to store them for you and deliver them at a day’s notice.

Okay, that’s one less excuse to buy the bike.

Even for the yearly deal, I think 30kd is a bit steep.

      Dear Kuwait

Currently there are a couple of bike storage’s in Kuwait that are priced at that price point but provide nothing else but a place to store and don’t care what happens to your bike, the reason we are priced at a premium is because of the services we provide IE:(Battery charging, washing your bike before every pickup, lockers, maintenance on your bike, open 24/7, and a changing room for your convenience, secured warehouse with cameras) which are all included within the price you pay.

nice idea, but I wouldnt pay 55 KD per month for just parking the bike.
Anyways I park it only during the summer. from June to mid of September.

30 KD a month may not be such a bad deal if you can have peace of mind that your 5000+ KD bike is safe and hooked up to a trickle charger during summer months.
I know a guy who had an R1 stolen right from in front of his house in Jabriya and another bike in my old neighborhood in Jleeb that had a broken triple clamp and/or levers broken during a botched theft.

This is just great, I totalled my Ducati and my parents will disown me if they were to find another bike parked at home. This solves the problem. I can keep all my riding gear there too. Well done Bike Box!
