Behind the Uniform

It was probably inappropriate to do so, but I couldn’t stop laughing while watching this short film. It’s meant to be based on a true story but because of the amount of inaccuracies relating to Kuwait I just couldn’t take it seriously.

kuwaiti

The funniest part had to be the Kuwaiti male stalker in the film pictured above. I just loved the gold necklace and open button look, kinda like how I’d imagine an Armenian Kuwaiti to look like. But, the all time Arab lookalike fail though will forever be Hussain from Bloodsport (pictured below), you can’t really beat that.

what car was the stalker driving? it looks like those weird cars you see in japan. also what language was he speaking? atleast least get a guy that speaks arabic! i hate it when people talk like savages to sound arabic.

*takes note*. Pfft this wasn’t even Arabic.. I mean how hard is it to find Arabic people? We are everywhere, there’s even an Egyptian celebrity in Japan.. Japan!

I think the filmmaker mixed up Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, no one is forced to wear hijabs or veils! Also, this movie and ending made no absolutely no sense!

It kinda did since the woman had a bad experience wearing skin-revealing clothing she decided that wearing a veil would be a better option than getting herself or a friend hurt.

That being said— it is a weird story since Kuwait has a liberal attitude towards dressing up.

Seriously, you’re freaking us all out.

First you wanted to beat up someone who commented yesterday.

Now you want to issue Fatwas.

Please crawl back into whatever third world hell hole you came from.

This blog is for non-violent people. You are a monster.

One more thing I’m an Arab and Kuwait is my country. If I as an arab freak you out, you most welcome to go back where u come from and drink p*** of a cow. I know who you are. I did not use any word like “beat” you are interpreting. I’m capable of resolving any conflict in a non violence way. If you are thick and weird and low life saddo. It ain’t my fault…sometime leave thing at humor when said something with “lol”

Real Americans are the indigenous people of the Americas. That’s the only REAL sort of American there is… So yeah, since Mexicans are part indigenous, they are REALER Americans than the europeans that came after.

Raping Filipinas does go mostly unpunished. That’s about the only true thing in the movie. Everything else is a load of crap.

Yes I’m aware, but every place on earth rape victims face terrible injustice.. The thing is this movie tries to “normalize” this issue as if in Kuwait if you are not an American you’re gonna get raped.. Closer to fiction than reality the message of the movie is lost.

Seriously, the entire thing was garbage. It only serves to highlight why westerners get such a bad idea of the middle east. Like, nothing was researched. The acting was…wow. As for the location?! I can’t believe she raised $295, let alone asked for $800!

yeah no offence but you seem blissfully unaware of just how much is tolerated in Kuwait. Not ‘every place on earth’ is like you say – Kuwait is worse. Just because you live in lahdidah privilege does not mean you are in possession of the facts.

Just like’every place on earth’ rape is considered a crime punishable by law. Unfortunately, cases where the culprit gets away is result of corruption.

and what is “lahdidah privilege”?

Behind The Uniform 2:
Following the events of the Oscar nominated Behind The Uniform, our heroes return to Kuwait to get revenge on the entire country. Literally everyone. After their plan for vengeance (involving teflon burkas with mounted RPG’s and lazer beams) fails, and they are imprisoned for 132 years in a Kuwait incarceration camp located on Mars, they must find a way to escape and return to earth.
Based on a true story.
