Earlier this morning local rapper Big D sent me his resignation letter from hip hop. He’s no longer going to be producing music which I’m sure is going to please a lot of people. Oddly though the main reason he’s leaving music behind is because he now believes music is a sin and that the rap industry as whole are advocates of the Devil. I never really understood why some people think music is a sin.
If you listen to music for enjoyment, and it does not effect your actions in a negative way, how is it a sin?
Next thing u will see him in syria, Iraq or Afghanistan. If u read carefully his reasoning and decision u will notice someone has been tampering with his judgment and feeding all this.
Good riddance!!! His departure is a gain for hip-hop, the entire music industry, and ears.

Wow. No offense, but his “music” was garbage. Hip hop is a way of life, not something you just decide to do because you can throw some words together that rhyme. Put him in the South and he would’ve “resigned” a long time ago!
It looks to me that he`s still in that “booth” in “higher state” of consciousness under “substances and other requirements”.
Never listened to his “Creations” and probably never will so I can`t comment on that. But I put up a lot op patience and curiosity to go trough his “Testament”. I know at least 2 kids 8 years old who can write and have a better(saner) judgement.
In his case, salvation might be to late, those “enhancers” seems to have damaged major parts from his “grey matter”.

Wow, that was an interesting read. If it didn’t have a turn-radical after taste I’d say well done for quitting. That music video is disturbing and I felt embarrassed while watching it. I have met a few Kuwait hip hop artist and at least their music had meaning. Expensive cars, money, “bitches”, swearing, and walking a pit-bull disguised as a Shiba Ina is so lame.

Rappers almost always seem to address their music to a second person. I understand that certain rappers had/have(not so common now) feuds with other rappers. Who is the ‘you’ in his music (if you can call it music) referring to?

Music is defined as arrangement of musical notes that creates a melody. The Adaan has musical notes. Prophet Dawud had a beautiful voice. He used to sing. Music is not Haraam in Islam. usually what happens is when a musician (muslim) drinks alcohol or commits adultery. Everyone blames music for it.
Music gives enlightenment and freedom of expression. It is the most important invention of the human race.
Being a musician, i have had long discussions on this topic.

Music is a kind of art, in which you express your feeling in other ways. Such as; drawing, painting, singing, dancing…etc

I met a lot of people before he even started doing these kind of videos, also this letter might be an act of an after affect for fame, when someone turns into religion he/she wouldn’t take pride of his sin in a letter to be put online it’s like he is saying no body can sin more than me because I am a pro sinner.
