This past weekend the Dance Battle Finals were held at the newly opened graffiti park Spraybox in Shaab. I passed by to check it out and was completely surprised by how talented some of the kids were and how many people showed up to watch them.

The scene here for Dancers, Parkour, Rap and Street Artists is huge. People don’t see it normally. We are trying to change that.

Man, this would be such a great venue for small, intimate music events too. Just have people sitting around and listening to local artists. I, for one, would def love to play here.

Haha yeah it is. These competitions have been happening for years and i’ve been covering them but they have always been just the dancers and their friends. That is why we decided to get these guys and girls the attention they deserve. We will be doing this once a month now. Also live music soon.
Wow! this is amazing! I’m disappointed in myself for not seeing it live but glad to see that more events will be held.
