Butlers in the Middle East

Coincidentally, I was just listening to BBC World radio just last week on the very same topic. To get that kind of money, you need to be British. Not just the passport, but the skin color too.
Plus rigorous training on a variety of subjects.
There was a mention that the highest paid butler works in Saudi.

I was just coming here to post this.

Also, freshly trained butlers don’t get the jobs in the Middle East right away. Butlers in their 40’s do, who have a lot of experience.

Aha..so you listen to 100.1 too!. Ever since I discovered that station, I am in love with it. Keeps me up-to-date while driving to/from work in super slow traffic.

I really enjoy it, the presenters voices are for the most part very calming as well, not annoying. They also have some good shows, documentaries which are pretty interesting. The other week they had a documentary about the Beatles, which was cool.

BBC does have some very nice story lines and interesting reporting. VOA should consider revising their format and propoganda story lines to something more like what BBC offers.

Now on the Butlers, I would say a very difficult job. I imagine some of the clients are extremely demanding or they would just opt for the more conventional maid.

Not any skin color, but white British Caucasian type. Even the lineage come into effect, you cant bring Muahajan (hybrid) like quarter indian or white zalamas (shami people) who can pass the color test but dont hold british values (hard to take shami values from the shami people, look at leboz in australia and canada).

Basically you have to be pure British and not impure, and over 40 years of age is proffered, we do the interviews at 4 centers in middle east, our headquarters are in Lebanon.

It got me thinking. if the butler is brit and white , but does not have a butler name, such as alfred, jeeves. cadbury, godfrey, etc. Would he qualify?

Butlers in The Middle East, Like a sir!

I know some families from the royal family who have British and German butlers in their house. They don’t wash dishes or do the laundry per se. They’re like house managers. They run the house and and are pretty much superior to the entire staff of the house. These people live in sea side palaces, and have a staff of at least 40 people from nannies, servants, drivers, gardeners, chefs, etc. So a butler with experience is much needed, or it would be a zoo! It’s not a big deal.

As for the person who said that they are people dying in Palestine… Please is that your excuse to everything? By not having a butler in your house, you’re saving the world? Grow a pair!

Did you watch Downton Abbey? Butler is a very well respected job, all the other servants would stand when he enters a room.

Class is not something which can be purchased.

If you have the money to teach your children discipline then so be it. That’s a good direction they are heading IMO.

all people with a British passport are british and it has nothing to do with skin colour. The English are white though …

@jreba he meant white caucasian british, known as britons (brits) they are the original and pure Englishmen, not the hybrid you see now a days quarter this race quarter that rate. There are alot of pure brits but not around the picaddeli area that arabs frequent.

Most of them are found in the country side and suburban and can be taught through our centers by the top Briton butlers. Its a 30% theoretical and 70% practical course for 6 months, payable after job contract through 18 months.
