hahahahah what a dumbass. and the guy hunts so he should know basic firearm function and safety. that’s how a bullet discharges in a gun ffs!

It was a live round, meaning there was gunpowder in the shell. It could be put into a gun and fired. But this guy decided to use it as a paperweight. Some people would think “Wouldn’t the bullet just shoot out?” The thing is, a bullet is a lot like a hand grenade. But because the bullet is (usually) fired inside a metal barrel, the shell cannot blow into pieces since it is supported by the barrel. So the gunpowder burns and the resulting gas gets out of the shell the only way it can, by pushing the bullet out. The problem here, there was no barrel to support the thin brass shell. So it just blew up, much like a hand grenade.
