Snake on a plane forces emergency landing

A 48-year-old passenger who owns a reptile shop in Kuwait smuggled a cobra onboard an Egypt Air flight to Kuwait from Egypt. Right after takeoff the snake bit the guy and then escaped slithering under the passenger seats. That’s pretty freaky. CNN has the full story [Here]

So,
According to you its ok to insult any race.
People like you , who think themselves above anyone else is what’s wrong with this world

What race are you from? By all means, I am a non-discriminatory insulter. I have no problem insulting you regardless of where you come from.

This is exactly why I love visiting Mark’s blog. Regardless of what his posts are about – be it a review or a funny little news item like this – his followers come out in droves to label and name-call. It is like the Jerry Springer of Kuwait’s blog world. Love it.

Label and name call?! I guess you are blinded by your own predjudice, that you can’t see it for what it is or in this case you are….. A Narsistic Racist

I agree with the fake Desert Girl. What makes Egyptians lovable is their ability to laugh at their own foibles. A quality which other cultures USED to retain, but seem to look past.

My comment wasn’t intended as racist. I don’t care where the person was from. I could have said, “Only an American.” Big F’ing deal.

This makes you wonder about level of security before boarding! how in the world he was able to smuggled it to the plane?!

There is urban legend than if you cover something with aluminum foil, airport x-ray machine can’t detect it (not sure, never tried) 😀

So, maybe this smart ass smuggler just tranquilize poor snake and use some method something like mentioned above to avoid x-ray scan.

But… according to CNN this “poor” snake suddenly decide to wake up early and “suddenly” decide to check how taste was our smart ass smuggler.

Another fun fact from CNN: “The plane resumed its flight to Kuwait after local authorities confiscated the snake.” Dafuq? Only snake? What about our smart ass smuggler? I know police in Egypt is extremely corrupted (one of the police officer ask me $10 in Sharm el-Sheikh airport for showing direction of Currency exchange office 😀 ) but seriously… only snake was “arrested”? Wasta level: Chuck Norris

Haha! My MIL was actually waiting in Kuwait airport for that flight to come in, as she had the flight back to Egypt! She was stuck in the airport for 4 additional hours before the plane finally came and she could board!

Egypt airport security screening should have been able to detect the snake prior to boarding.

Then again I’m probably raising the bar too high.

Emirates recently offloaded a passenger for having an itchy rash…but a guy with a snake is allowed to fly even after all that ruckus. Go figure!!

My point being (This being another airline)..Aren’t airline rules the same with regard to general passenger safety.
