There is also Dr. Naif Al Mutawa (444) the creator of the The 99 Comic Book series and founder of Teshkeel group, I dont know why they said UAE though
good catch, must be a mistake from their side, gonna add him to the list above now.
Saad Al Barrak is still working in zain?
thats what i thought :/?
Dr. Saad left Zain group in 2010 and found ILA an advisory firm capitalizing on the emerging opportunities arising from the convergence between IT and telecoms.
I wish he or someone like him would run for Parliament.
bullshit the most powerful Arab is the king of saudi. an autocratic leader who governs a country that owns 20% of the world oil reserves
Royalty is not included in the list, idiot. It’s all businessmen.
Royalty isn’t ever included in these lists because they represent a country, not an individual.
It depends on what you mean by powerful. If it is having the power to make decisions and control resources, then the most powerful Arabs are the leaders of their respective countries, especially the Gulf. This list appears to be more about the business elite and their companies. I would say though I’m bit surprised that Maha Al_Ghunaim is still on the list after the colossal meltdown at Global Investments.
See above, they never include leaders on these because obviously a leader is more powerful than a businessman
Good for them!
are the females of the top 100 females list on this list? same same?
and seriously why am i not on there? why are you not on there? wtf arent WE on there?
Calm down lil one and have a Panadrex!
Panadrex? Is that what they give you at the government clinic? Of course, if you are an expat, in the afternoon?
Your question answers itself.
Mohammed Alshaya! The one who is running the business is CEO Wassim Orabi; he should be there instead of Mohammed Alshaya (business owner)
And who was the CEO before Wassim?
Its funny to see the CEO of Gulf Bank ahead of the owner of Gulf bank π
and arent these 4 in failing companies? how can you be a failure and be on the most powerful list?
191 β Maha Al Ghunaim β Global Investment House
324 β Rashid Yaqoub Al Nafisi β Al Mazaya Holding
399 β Hamad Al Falah β Kuwait Airways
414 β Adnan Al Musallam β The Investment Dar
i think thats the picture of him hearing about the news himself. MR shaya *points to FNS’s comment
Almost made it this year at 502. Oh well, there’s always next year! :p
How can Maha Al Ghunaim be on that list? She bankrupted Global and failed miserably as a business woman!
Wanasaah I know Salem Al Hindi’s son he used to be in ABS :3
