Weather Alert! Government and Schools are Off Tomorrow

A major storm is expected to hit Kuwait tonight, one that is supposedly stronger than the storm that hit us last week. Schools are off tomorrow (both private and public) while the public sector is also closing down. Stay safe everyone!

On a side note, are we going to have a day off every time it rains? Cuz I’d like that.

Update: Just tried to fill up gas at two different gas stations and both were so backed up they were causing traffic jams. I guess people are panicking.

Funny enough, when that crazy storm hit earlier, nobody had predicted jack.

Now, it seems that every time they predict a major storm, nothing actually happens.

As much as I despise Bixby, he/she/it/zim/zer/pixie has proven to be much more accurate at predicting the weather, so far. For tomorrow, Bixby is predicting rain with a few rumbles of thunder, at least in my area. ‘Imma go with Bixby on this one, but just to be on the safe side, I’ll go charge my Kindle now lol

I wish people in the Uk could have a day off every time it rains, I wouldn’t have to go to uni.. ever. And just pass by finding the uni and writing my name on the exam paper (basically how students that go to Brighton or Huddersfield pass).

Ooooh Brighton. So many fond memories growing up there. Does Brighton Pier still sell those mini donuts in the bag? I can almost smell them.

Hi Mark, just letting you know in case you haven’t heard. Petrol stations will close at midnight tonight until Friday. So queue up even if it takes you ages (this explains why people are panicking). Thanks for the info and stay safe!

sometimes i feel like i work in a coal mine people haha my company has no way to contact me cuz the only way they put memos is on the board and im pretty sure most people went today so they dont get a days pay off…….feel like they dont live on this planet

People were actually not in panic mode when they queued up at the gas stations.

They simply wanted to have enough gas to cruise along in flooded roads, for extended periods. No fun if your car hiccups while in the waters, right?

Even petrol station “managers” have to be on it, hence the closures.

Big thinks to all of the police I have seen out in this weather keeping traffic controlled and assisting where needed. These guys don’t get the credit they deserve for times like this.

If a storm is that powerful where you cant drive in it, than why panick & fuel up? Schools closed, most work closed, malls & airport falling apart, highways submerged. Ugh the logic over there
