Ask Me Anything Tomorrow

I’m going to hold an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session tomorrow morning similar to the ones that take place on Reddit. You’ll basically be able to ask me anything you want in the comments and I’ll try my best to reply to you right on the spot. I was originally thinking of holding two sessions, one in the morning and one in the evening but I figured we’ll see how the morning one goes first before setting up a second session.

If you’ve ever been curious about anything or just want to know more about me then this is your chance to get your answers. Just check this blog tomorrow at 10AM and I’ll have the “Live” Ask Me Anything post up for you to ask me questions under. The AMA session will take place from 10AM to 11AM tomorrow July 8th. I don’t think I will set any rules or have any subjects that are out of bounds, we’ll just have to see how it goes.

Since there are no rules, you would be bound to answer nearly every question asked. Will you moderate the questions which you will choose to answer? It would be kinda like Obama’s AMA then.

Well I asked about this since I want it to be a proper AMA session and I was told that in the AMA sessions on reddit no one is forced to answer any question they don’t have to. I don’t know what kind of questions I will be getting, but as long as the questions are proper I should be answering all of them.

A lot of celebrities pick and choose what to answer, Obama wasn’t the only one. His was maybe more extreme but that might be because he crashed Reddits servers and no one could access the site 😛

Pity he seemed to choose to answer questions asked by users only an hour to a day old. But then again, since he is the president, you need to keep away some wise cracks.
“An Asteroid, Mr President.”
My conspiracy theory questions concerning the banking systems and Rothschilds were downvoted to oblivion.

There was a ton of conspiracies around why he chose to answer the questions he did. At the end of the day, he’s a politician, he’s not going to answer risky questions. He came, made a ton of buzz, brought down one of the biggest sites on the Internet and left hehe

so howzzit to be an expat in kuwait??.. well for me, an indian, its not much of a fun..its just work , work and live at the bottom line of the ..ummm…food chain..

its AMA right? so you are gonna A (answer) me right?

i won’t be online tomorrow at the time so if you could answer this tomorrow, it would be awesome.

which is your favourite burger in kuwait? and why?

I am just waiting for tomorrow session…just to read. How funny the questions will be and answers as well…

Interesting..

you wont ignore questions.. but are the answers gonna be completely honest or will some be diplomatic? 😉

I am going to be answering questions as honestly as possible. I would rather answer a question diplomatically than not answer it at all if that helps.

No don’t.
Stay away from politically correct answers. Rather no answer than a lie.
You’re no Mayor. Not yet.

Why be diplomatic if you’re speaking the truth? Can’t you just say; – I’ll not answer that question. Without further explanation.

‘Honesty’ and ‘diplomatically’ rarely go along. Most of the time it’s just playing with words to hide what someone really wants to say.
Also no-one can expect from you to disclose everything from your private-life.
Neither of having an opinion on every issue.

Success and have fun tomorrow!

I have to add that, by using two sentences as a quote, you’ve manipulated the content.
The sentence is: – I’ll not answer that question.
No characters.

Though I feel offended now, I accept my lose. 🙂

Nice one…I’m sure there will be many good questions as it’s always good to learn about successful people.

how is life in kuwait for a very liberal and free thinking expat like you ?

is it good ? or bad ? or worse?

how to do you feel the kuwait is?

the rules, conservative people and restrictions?

how do you earn while maintaining and updating this website?

I thought your AMA was pretty good, though I sadly missed it becos I was at work at the time. Very sad to hear about you and Nat, though I suppose we could all sense that something was not right for a while now. Somehow though, it has made you more relatable than you already were. I was able to relate to everyone of your posts since I too have been born and raised in kuwait for the past 35 years and have been reading since about 2005 now. I wish you luck in love.. if you want it that is and hope that you are taking care of yourself.

I am not surprised to know that you feel you are socially awkward though. It explains the very existance of the commitment to the blog.

Do you regret leaving your day job? It must be liberating at first not having to be committed to a 8-5 but after a while does it not get boring? I know the AMA is over but i will probaby try to catch u the next time.

damn it, i’ve been stupidly refreshing Reddit ama section in hopes of finding some thing along the lines of “I run a popular blog in the middle east ama” turns out i was looking in the wrong place. so frustrating.
