Going to Egypt

I am going to Cairo on Friday for 8 days on a work related trip. I’ve never been to Egypt but I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about it but also a lot of bad stuff (supposedly I should only drink bottled water?). I have two days free while I am there so can anyone recommend places to visit or places to eat?

90 replies on “Going to Egypt”

I’ve never been there. However, everybody I know who has, gotten food poisoning from eating there (there being Egypt in general).

So, just don’t eat ๐Ÿ˜›

Eat only McDonalds

First of all, for some weird reason, McDonalds in egypt is the best Mcdonalds ive had in the world (including lebanon, kuwait, dubai, canada, france, germany, qatar and a bunch more)

Seconldy no one ever got food poisoning from Mcdonalds…

but i did get food poisoning from around everything else…

your going in the best time of the year, lovely weather.
U should go to four season hotel Nile plaza they have the best Italian,Chinese & Lebanese restaurants, they also have Beyman which is a fancy department store which have an amazing restaurant as well. You should visit al azhar garden as well. hv fun ๐Ÿ˜‰

you will meet many doctors and engineers working in the tourism industry. Also beware of mosquitoes when you’re out slurping Kimo by the filthy nile water

Apparently, all of you guys were not that experienced traveler at all ..

Mark, There are alot of wonderful places to see in Egypt and for sure, others that you mustn’t try for whatsoever reason. In general, try to avoid eating in local unclean small places – even Egyptians who care for their health don’t do it -, preferably as well go for bottled water.

There’s a huge list of nice places to visit, consider:

– City Stars Mall (you’ll find there most of the well known food brands as well as other stylish options to grab a nice meal in a nice atmosphere, make sure to check the restaurants area in the top floor of the mall)

– Al Azhar Park (it’s smartly situated on a hill overlooking old Cairo, you’ll find a couple of decent classy places to eat there as well including Trianon – give them a try, try to pick one of their Trianon types) .. you can take great photos from the top of the hill in the park during sunset

– Nile Cruise (This is absolutely a must, still you’ll have to pick the right timing which is the sunset cruise and the right operator. The best one is the Marquise, it’s a Yacht operated by Grand Hyatt Cairo and runs daily dinner and lunch cruises, I’d suggest the dinner one)

If you still need anything, just drop me a line and I’d be glad to help.

Cheers,
Ahmed

-Get a Hepatitis A shot. I got Hep A in Egypt 7 years ago because I didn’t follow the following rule…

-Don’t eat or drink anything fresh. Avoid salads, fresh juice, etc etc

-Food in Egypt generally doesn’t taste that great (I’m 1/4 Egyptian, I’m allowed to say this). Fast food’s a safe bet. Home-cooked meals are your best bet.

-Cairo’s tap water is actually pretty clean, and I love its taste. Stay away from Baraka(t?) brand water.

-Try 3eish baladi, it’s the best bread you’ll ever have in your life.

-Must-sees: Khan el Khaleeli, Pyramids/Sphinx, any random street–it’s so insanely crowded but it’s such a brilliant sight.

Oh, and if you can, try the petit-fours at La Poivre and the 3eish el Saraya at Mandarin Kweider….mmmmmm.

OH. Also, check out the Qasr el Baron in Heliopolis (aka Masr el Gedeeda). It’s a totally random Cambodian-style mansion from way back when. Very spooky.

OH OH. And the Mena House Oberoi is a gorgeous, historical hotel not too far from the Pyramids. Beautiful architecture. Cairo, in general, has some of the most gorgeous Mediterranean colonial architecture I’ve ever seen. If you can, go to El Korba in Heliopolis for the best examples.

Okay, I think that covers pretty much everything I can think of. Enjoy your trip!

Ignore the ill-informed comments about about food poisoning. I’ve never had food poisoning in Egypt. Or India for that matter…

Eat great meals at Abu Elsid’s branches in Zamalek or Maadi
La Bodega is a good continental restaurant in Zamalek. Go to Sequoia for good food and a fun lounge vibe right on the Nile, at the tip of Zamalek island

A lot of the River Boats on the Nile, at Zamalek, have some good restaurants and lounge bars

Behind the Grand Hyatt, Four Seasons Nile Plaza has good restaurants.

In Khan El-Khalili, have a shisha at Fishawi or eat at the Naguib Mahfouz Cafe

Chill out around sunset on the deck at Sofitel Gezirah, right on the Nile. Avoid Buddha Bar at Sofitel, ridiculously overpriced!!

Also check out Tabasco, Absolut in Mohandeseen and Tabbouleh in Garden City.

——-

Aside from food, go do the tourist thing and see the Pyramids and Sphinx, as well as the museums.

Khan elKhalili is busiest bazaar you’ll ever see. Al-Azhar park is really nice with great views over Cairo from high up on a hill

just stay away from the black and white cabs, cuz they don’t have meters and the drivers will try to rip you off. use the yellow cabs instead, they’re clean and the drivers are polite.

I too have never had food poisoning, but I generally avoid unclean places.

Try going for a feluka ride on the Nile after sunset.
Sangria is a nice place too on the Nile
Al Hussein is a must, you get to go through the alleys and see all the bazars its an interesting souk.
The sound and lights program at the sphynx is great too.
Egyptian museum if you are into that kind of thing.
Also the Cairo opera house and Saqyit el Sawi always have great live music and at this time of year it is usually done in their open air arenas so you might enjoy that too.

Born and raised, Kuwaiti, lived 4 years in egypt. I lived there to finish my highschool degree, because education in kuwait is a joke, and I wanted the best education for my money. british education, british exams, at egyptian prices, and I ended up 148 on the state in 2002 and the 14th in Kuwait (PS). I’ve said all of this because

Not a single place did I leave, I’ve ate stuff from the koshari place 20meters away till the best mediteranean cruises that carries parties you wouldnt believe existed in the middle east.

The thing is, us kuwaiti people as a nation, are weak, and close to being gay. Everyone will have stomach pain once in a while, food in kuwait is zbalah in general, everything is commercialized. Heck even my japanese gf can make better amateur sushi rolls than most places in kuwait. however the thing is with kuwaiti people, stomach upset is equal to salamonella

SO STRAIGHT away they will come at you saying Ive got the worst food poisining when all they have is stomach pain, or claim the’ve got migranes when they barely have a headache, a nation good for complaining and competiting between each other for nothing.

To survive your Egypt experience, just imagine yourself starring in a continuous comedy and laugh it along. Otherwise you’ll just go insane ..You’ll get this once you’ve been there ..

And with two days only, I’d limit it to the pyramids, The grand museum, Azhar gardens and Khan Al Khaleeli souq (Explore around, lots of historical location hidden in unexpected corners, and eat/smoke at Najeeb Mahfouz Cafe). Oh and only eat at hotels. I got poisoning there from a river boat restaurant and I thought my stomach was tolerant of bad food.

Grand hayatt was 1 of the best, WAS ..

Four season garden city (nile plaza) is the best , also intercontinental citystars is great .. hotels ..

you have to try a restaurant and tea garden called Sangaria ! in front of conrad hotel .. Nile side .. classy , clean , view is WOW , food is great too ..

Sangaria is one of restaurants chain , they have also Lebanese restaurant called tabula in gareden city .. its great too ..
if you want to try high class koshary and Egyptian food they also have Abu alseed restaurant in zamalek ..
they have tabasco cafe and tabasco rest 7adda recommended ..

dont miss najeeb mahfouz in alhussain , and horse riding in al haram (soqara) .. go to establ al gabree and ask for a guy esma mohammed ๐Ÿ˜›

if you want a unique night go on thu night to kobre al gam3a to see the public weddings and then to the nile side and go for a nile cruse with ppl eb 2 pounds .. you wont forget what you will see ever ๐Ÿ˜€

Go to first mall (four season algiza) have the afternoon tea there .. its cool ..

the best chinese food resturant eb maser telgah a7san wa7ed bel 3alam !! its called pikine but the doqqi (mo7yee aldeen abu al3ez) branch only ..

7adeeqat al azhar is nice too ..

have a walk in west al balad .. you will feel that you r in a movie

cinemas .. citystars cinema is the best .. or you can go to grand hayatt mall cinema ..

i am going to egypt after tomorrow too :/

to make it short, go have dinner in abu el seed (zamalek branch) thats a classy authentic egyptian restaurant. Then head to Seqouia (zamalek as well) for shisha or beer, amazing view of the nile but go early on week ends cause its a lounge which gets busy early.

P.S. just dont eat at street vendors so you can look cool on facebook like the rest of the idiots who did get food poisoning.

have fun

abu al sid in al zamalek
al qarya al nubiya in the Grand Hyatt
Go to the Sofitel its a nice hotel
Four Seasons First Mall
Four Season Nile Plaza Baymen

the best place to go if you were in Egypt is to go straight to the airport, and get on the first plane back to Kuwait.. LOL Africa as a whole is dirty.. The only place worth visiting in Africa is morrocco.

hehehe totally true vampire,,, mark imagine that i had to spent 47 DAYS in Egypt for my course,,, it was a hell thanks God that the World Cup 2006 was on other wise i would committed suicide! i just didn’t get a long with the country and the people who just want to take any amount of money from you! i swear i would give a guy 5 pounds just to tell me some jokes,,, is he for real! LOL!

@ sfsa78

“LOL Africa as a whole is dirty.”

Kuwait would be pure garbage if it wasn’t for underpaid overworked Indians picking up after you. Most the population doesn’t give a damn and litter all over the place because they KNOW someone is going to pick up after them.

Africa is a BEAUTIFUL continent. Almost every country is worth visiting over Kuwait.

Your comment is not only distasteful but shows your COMPLETE ignorance. Im not trying to start an argument but I find your comment totally offensive.

and for your info as a Kuwaiti, i proudly admit that

EGYPT > KUWAIT. From a rich culture to breath taking scenery it topples Kuwait in every way.

PS: Mark, stay away from Cleopatra cigarettes ๐Ÿ™‚

you are being paid by the company you’re working with…just do your job and i guess you are mature enough to know places to go or food that you should eat.

Hey,
i also recomend Abou al seed i have been there and it is great, also you can go to tres bon (ุชุฑูŠ ุจูˆู†) in new cair ghernata street (10ุดุงุฑ ุบุฑู†ุงุทุฉ – ู…ุตุฑ ุงู„ุฌุฏูŠุฏุฉ)it is behind this building the food is great and the atmospher. La bodga very nice resturant and night club in zamalik (ุดุงุฑุน 26 ูŠูˆู„ูŠูˆ).
Enjoy yor trip ๐Ÿ™‚

Grand Hyatt

ุฎุงู† ุงู„ุฎู„ูŠู„ูŠ
ุงู„ุงู‡ุฑุงู…ุงุช
ุนุตูŠุฑ ูุฑุบู„ูŠ

Grand Cafe – next to Friday’s
ูˆู„ุงุฒู… ุชุฑูƒุจ ุงู„ุญู†ุทูˆุฑ

Everything Zaydoun said is absolutely right. At night make sure check out the CJC (cairo jazz club) which is in Mohandaseen( ask for alex or Mark at the door), or 35 which is at the 4 seasons. Great vibe on Tues nights. If you want the total immersion into old fashioned night life, you could try out the cabarets on Haram street for a glimpse of how the other side do it ๐Ÿ™‚

Regarding day trips to the Pyramids or Khan, it would be wise to invest in a car and driver. If you need a number, let me know. Regarding the food, when in Egypt, try to stick to egyptian food. Italian food and other imported menus dont translate too well.La Bodega in Zamalek has a great lounge and pretty good food too.
Sangria has a cool open air bar on the nile too, and the food is bearable.

beep beep masr!

oh….it would be great if you could change hotels and stay at the Marriot in Zamalek. Grand Hyatt has nice views, but its owned by some Saudi dude and he had banned alcohol in the hotel, but was later forced to allow it back. im not sure if there is beer in the mini bar in the rooms or just at the bar….

Make sure you meet Hamada the Taxi Driver…

Hi Mark!
I had been there recently. To tell you frankly, I didnt like the food at all and the place sucks! It’s too crowded and polluted and Im sure you wont like Cairo at all. Its better to stick to your hotel. I stayed at Movenpick Resort @ Giza Pyramids. Their food is good.

My family and I were out shopping and we were hungry. We saw a shawerma shop near by and ordered 2 shawerma and 2 mushakal. We didnt dine in over there, we went straight to our hotel with the food. When we started to eat, we felt something was wrong with the taste. I opened up the sandwhich and was surprised to see that they had actually put chicken and beef together. The taste was awful!

You can also go and check out the Sound & Light Show @ the Pyramids. Also, the Nile cruise. I had been on the Nile for 4 nights and it was splendid!

you gotta try Abou El Cid very good clean egyptian food, and in zamalek branch there’s always egyptian movie stars all over the place, Mojito lounge is a really cool lounge to hit up in the evenings, Cairo Jazz Club is good in the middle of the week when there are live bands playing, check out el Sakya in zamalek (it’s a stage, and cultural center built under a bridge and right on the nile), and try and see one of the good local bands live (I recommend West El Balad)… Azhar park is surreal, you should check that out, and khan el khalili as well.. they’re right next to each other, and near them is old cairo with some of the old churches of egypt, very trippy architecture.
Cairo Museum, Giza Pyramids, and sakkara pyramids (step pyramids ) are a day , if you do both these historic days, you’ll have enough time to have a really good dinner, and hang out at a cool lounge.

Almost forgot a Nile ride on a “felluca” is a must… and don’t listen to what everyone says about egypt and food, just use common sense, if it looks dirty don’t eat it, and definately do not eat fast food.. that’s the only crap that got me food poisoning in egypt, just don’t go eating from food carts, and eat in proper restaurants.

hiii well, i’ve been there 3 months ago , it’s a lovely town, i really enjoyed my time there, specially with egyptian people they’re really funny! but my advice to u is to keep “frata” in ur pocket for every one smiles for u ๐Ÿ™‚ they really love to be tipped, also the most place i liked was the ” Blue Nile” which is a ship where do u find 2 types of rest. the first is about lebanese food (very nice food) with an arabic singer w really niiiiice jaww!! the next floor ohhh!! here there’s the whole fuunn! it’s a pop where u can find most of egyptian celebrities, nice place, nice music, u can dance , u can move freely, u can have a drink, the place is really hot!

Thank God last time I went to Egypt, I did not get any food poisoning, because I didn’t really eat anywhere suspicious and avoided salads and fruits. I did go to good places however.

There is this authentic Egyptian restaurant (clean and trendy) called Abo Asseed (in Zamalek coz there are two) you MUST try it out, reservations are recommended coz I waited about 30 minutes to get a table. You can get shisha there as well, but keep in mind it’s not a sha3bi place.

There’s also this lounge-y place (some call it a pub, but it’s nothing like that!) overlooking the nile called Seqoia (sekooya, not sure if the spelling is right) I loooved it! its outdoors, so if it’s cold, make sure you’re dressed well. It isn’t a typical Egyptian place, you’ll find the higher class lounging there. I’m sure you’ll like it, Their food include (finger, japanese, italian, mezzas, drinks, and sheesha).

What A&B was phonetically trying to say is…”Diahoerra”..Oh and Watch out for egyptians….I hear there are a lot in Cairo…

i realy like egypt
funny people nice places
try the arabian resutrant in the grand hayatt hotel , the italian one is also yum myy

go to city stars mall

in your next visit go to shram al shaikh and alexandria

I am an AUC graduate and I would not recommend going to any of the suggested shopping malls there, as all shops are outdated compared to the shops in Kuwait – except if you are getting souvenirs.

1. Go to the pyramid and go horseback riding. If you are not an experienced rider just ask for “khail dayekh” otherwise, they’d let you ride a rocket that would never stop (lol). I would highly recommend OMAR Stable as they have the cleanest and well behaved horses! Also, drink mint tea at their stable – best tea ever (its dirty though!)
2. Khan khalili is a nice place to see (not eat).
3. Nice and really old and popular bookstores in til3at harb
4. Visiting the musem is another must (no cameras are allowed)
5. Eat stuffed pigeon in an of “abou shakra” restaurants. I would recommend the one in Garden City
6. Do agree with the fare before getting into a cab
7. Eat “roz bl laban” (rice pudding) from sabry – located in maidan lebnan.
8. Falukka along the nile (its right by your hotel). Its called do2do2.
9. Lucille’s has the “best burger” in egypt (located in Maadi)
10. Thomas pizaa has the best pizza in egypt (located in zamalek)

-Buddha Bar at Sofitel Nile
-Najeeb Mahfooz Cafe @ khan khaleely (check out the guy who sings in the cafe and you have to try the Sa7laab there)

Hey Mark ,

Hope your staying in a really good property in Cairo …had been there 2 yrs back and the 5 star we stayed at was crap ..it could have been rated as a 2 star , for all it was worth (so quality of hotels not that great ).
if you get the time you could take the train to Alexandria … its bout 2 and half hrs ride .. there is this hotel called helnin palestine … absoultely awesome …every room has a sea view and the ppl there are very friendly ..it boasts one of the best libraries in the world …
have fun
cheers
Nisha

Yes… eat only McDonald’s and Abou El Cid… theyre both great…

ride a Camel to the pyramids… they smell less funky than a horse and are more of an adventure… plus theyre less likely to drop you (Camels care for their passengers)

Oh, and Smoke some Cleopatras just so you can tell the story to your kids one day that you smoked the strongest cigarettes in the world ๐Ÿ™‚

1.Seqouia, (You must visit this place)
2.Abou alseed
3.Sangaria ( infront of Conrad hotel) its a realy cool lounge
4.pyramids for hourseback ridding
5.al feshawe @ alhussain bazar.
6.avoid share3 alharam it sucks !
7.erkab elhantoor and the fairy boats in the nile if u want to laugh
8.the restaurants @ ur hotel are Good
9.and Latestaghrab if u see the taxi driver gives the police man a bakhshesh ;P

Mark,

I live in Egypt and every time family or friends visit me from Kuwait, I take them to these places:

Authentic Egyptian Food: Abou El Seid ( Address 26 July Street no. +20227359640)
* once you finish your meal, be sure to check out the bookstore called diwan right next to it. If your in the mood for cocktails or wine, just head to La Bodega, which is right next to these two places.

Ofcourse, Khan el Khalili is a must. Two good coffeeshops you should visit (naguib mahfouz and el fishawy) If your really brave and think you have the stomach for this, there is a restaurant called Farahat that only make grilled and stuffed hamam. Best hamam I’ve ever had (better than the ones my grandmother makes!!) But I must warn you, your literally sitting on a table in the street with cats roaming around. But as soon as you bite into that yummy hamam, you’ll forget where you are.

Quick touristic view: Grab a felucca boat infront of the four seasons nile during sunset (this will give you a nice view of commercial Egypt)

Nice lounge/sheesha/pub: Sequoia (Aboul Feda Street No: +20227350014)

Avoid going into Four Seasons for long, City Stars Mall, Buddah Bar, Hard Rock Cafe, or an area called Mohandiseen (you might as well stay in Kuwait).

If your in a late night clubbing mood: Club 35 at Four Seasons Plaza

Mark i suggest you keep a link up there next to the reviews called “Travel Guide” with a summary of all recommendations on where to go for places you visit. Bahrain, Cairo, Beirut, etc…

I think there is more information here that on trip advisor masha2 allah..

Oh by the way… i think one place you must visit is the Grouppe place where allllllll old egyptian movies in Black and White had the upper class crust go! It must be pretty old and dingy now but this is one place i really really would want to visit just to see what the fuss is all about.

forgot to recommend in my post this morning try the local version of stella beer, not the export version… beautiful beer, comes in a humongous bottle!!.. and try Omar al Khayam red wine, or Batalsa if you’re in the mood for or prefer white wine.

And try Maison Thomas pizza, family owned pizzeria that’s been around since 1922.. but to get the real or full thomas experience you have to try the branch in 26th of July st in zamalek

Tip bartenders well wherever you go, and they’ll love you and start serving you free drinks once every hour or so .. if you do end up goign to sequoia (it’s a really cool place but only in the summer or when it’s warm), just before you get there, there’s a mobile shop on the right.. our apartment in cairo’s on top of it….. what i’d give to be there right now..

Save this number for emergencies 19330, it’s one of the nationwide brewer’s retail outlets, free home delivery on beers and wines 10-2am everyday!!!!

I find it extremely sad and depressing, that a simple post asking for travel advice degenerated into people competing to show off their narrow-minded prejudices!!

Cairo may indeed be poor, crowded, noisy, polluted and chaotic but it’s full of HISTORY, charm and character which is more than I can say for our hometown!

Why travel in the first place if you just want to repeat the same experiences you have at home?

haha the comments arre hilarious ;p
i say try tabboula (near the american embassy)
khan elkhalele
fairy or have dinner at nile city (chillis and 3 other resturants) greattt view
city stars mall . if u dont have time jst skip it it doesnt compare to dubais malls or the avenues
best cenima is burj eltjara (i guess thats its name?) classy and CHEAP!
one of the hotels has a cenima on its roof! very cool but unless u have company dont go alone! its like having a semi-classy dinner alone!
have a walk by the nile and eat some roasted peanuts and a cob of corn and jst enjoy the weather and the simplicity of eygpt!:)

Inter Continental City Stars is the best place there..its a bit far from downtown (around 30 mins drive) in a place called Helipolis, check if your work place is near that.

http://www.citystars.intercontinental.com/

It’s a good hotel + shopping center, you can spend lot of time there itself.

You in Cairo you got to see pyramids in Cairo which is also 30 mins drive and Egyptian museum in downtown. Beware of offers on the road which is meant for lot of tips.

My first trip to Egypt also was couple of months before and below was what collegues recommended and i quite enjoyed it.

yes i would like to say that egypt is a place i was not very eager to visit at all, came out of there with a completely different view though.yes the people try to rip u off around every corner, thats true , but all in all i must admit it was a fantastic experience and i would go back in a heartbeat.i went to egypt last year, in december, went on a felluca ride and went to see the pyramids(spectacular) and the cairo museum(in which u could easily spend a whole day)kahn al khalili was fantastic as i am a silver fanantic and the price of silver jewellery is ridiculous.egypt is a place i would recommend that everyone go to,the history of the ancient egyptians is fascinating, and its weird cos i had no interest in it before i went there.up until today ,i still google stuff abt the pyramids cos its really one of the original seven wonders of the world, how could those things be built over 4000 years ago and still be standing!sorry,i tend to get carried away with this topic.oh the food,we just ate at restaurants all the time, like mcdonalds, kfc, papa johns, everything u have here,u can have in egypt, there is one place they have in fahaheel that they also have in al alghouza where we stayed, chicken tikka its called, but i must admit,in egypt,it was much better and much cheaper, yes and of course bottled water is the only way to go.for the record ,i am an african, and our place is not all nasty n dirty,in fact where i come from, south africa,it is spectacularly beautiful, consider that next time u make comments about africa.i know that this does not apply to all of africa, but still ,sometimes there are the little gems hidden away,so dont generalise like that as it may offend some people

Abou El Sid,
Bora Bora,
La Bodega,
Lucilleโ€™s,
Maison Thomas,
Sangria,
Seqouia

Those are some of the best restaurants in cairo. visit yallabina.com to find out more details such as locations etc.
Alot of franchises in City stars too like fudds, chilis, wagamamu, casper and gambinis, crepaway.
Be sure to check out Cilantro’s. Its an egyptian cafe with branches in almost every mall and social area. ITS AWESOME. you must try the cafe nutella! The cafe even recently opened a branch in picidally square in london!

Going to Egypt is a lot like going to India : both places are very old civilizations indeed; steeped as they are in history with a rich tradition of art, culture, music, theatre and cuisine to boot.

If you can make the time do drop in at the Heliopolis Cairo to take in the splendor of its lobby. Also do please fill us in on what you made of the Khan-el-Khalili market? Itโ€™s my fav place to be in Cairo and I have spent many a late evenings there exchanging belly dancing notes with expat tourists who come visiting there. This has held me in good stead for the men only belly dancing studio which I run is always overbooked.

I was trying to remember the name of lucille’s .. wanted to recommend one of the best burgers in the world.. and couldn’t remember it.. good one ams..

hahaha if you wana visit “sharm” i’ll lend you our egyptian receptionist.. he used to work as a travel guide there and knows every bits of it.. even would recommend to you which drinks and chicks… loooooool not to mention that.

When in Egypt walk like an Egyptian. ๐Ÿ™‚ No but seriously avoid street food at any cost if you want to avoid getting Delhi belly while you are there. I always maintain it’s the same whether you are in Egypt or India :it’s a mixed bag of the very good with the not so good.

Hey Mark ,
Hope you have a pleasant stay there but try as much as you can to avoid fast food restaurants because they suck !! . You’ll get diarrhoea from their food. Always eat in your hotel or go to know restaurants ONLY !! Go to Mohandiseen and go to a restaurant there called Abo Shaqra. Its like Sa5ra but way more better. Mohandiseen is the best place in Cairo. I know this cause am Egyptian and I live their. City Stars is a good mall to spend time in and has lots of shops that aren’t availiable in Kuwait and don’t forget to go to a street called Gam3et Al Dowal Al 3arabiya it’s in Mohandiseen also.

Hope you have fun .
