Anyone know where I can get an alarm clock like the one pictured above here in Kuwait? Found it on Amazon for just $10 but figured I would try my luck locally first. I originally wanted to get one with iPhone integration or maybe a Chumby or a Sony Dash. But, in the ended I decided I don’t need to browse the Internet while I am asleep and really just need a clock to wake me up.

Mark, trust me get a Jacob Jensen. they are the best alarm clocks. the light doesn’t stay on all the time but its great. i have used the same one for 4 years now and never even changed the battery.

It’s a Nakamichi SoundSpace 3. It comes in 3 pieces, one for each side of the bed and one piece u put under the bed which is the sub. Problem is after owning it for 9 years I am finding the LED too bright suddenly.

I prefer a dedicated alarm clock. I want to be able to read the time while half asleep and not have to get blinded by my phone. Also I hate alarms but love my phone. Don’t want to damage the close relationship we have.
Make sure you dont get one from the US…it will not keep the correct time…something to do with the Hz of the voltage (please don’t ask me more). In the old days this also used to apply to turntables and casette decks.

@ Hanadi, the philips alarm clock is great. i bought one for my husband a year a go from alghanim (although it looks different than the one u post) and yes u can charge ur iphone on it as well. my husband likes to listen to radio or some of broadcasts which he downloads to his iphone and listen to it directley through philips alarm.
I saw that philips and I liked it except for 2 issues.
1) doesn’t fit iphone with the bumper case on
2) i need a big snooze button which i can hit while still sleeping. If i hit this philips i will break it.
You can grab the iHome iA5 clock which is App-Enhanced with the iPhone. It’s available on Blink for 30KD and does the job nicely I just grabbed it.

anyway 30kd is too much, i could get a chumby for that much.

I personally like Oregon Scientific products. I haven’t seen them in Kuwait though.

i saw the Walkman version (black) and iPod version (white) yesterday in Dubai, Mall of the Emirates , Jumbo electronic 350 Aed (26.75 KD) but i forget my credit card in the hotel -__- .
i found the iphone version in the airport but i wanted the Walkman .
i ordered it from ebay when i came back to kuwait, almost same price with the shipping using aramex . you can also order it from amazon retailers .
