It feels very strange not having posted much here the past few days. I’ve had a lot on my mind so I haven’t really been focusing but it also felt awkward to post with all that was going on. No one has contacted me yet from Benihana and my court date is still set for March 8th. Once the trial starts it could take 2 years to finish and so I have to continue to post on this blog during that time.
Whenever there is any updates in the case I will post it here and keep everyone updated of course.
I would like to once again thank everyone who has been supporting me in this case. The amount of attention you’ve helped bring has just been mind blowing.

wish legal system was that simple..
trust me lawyers will find a way… like any technical jargin to say to the judge to hit mark…
i seen it happen.
one issue for example that they could use was taking pictures or video taping without permission inside their private premise… etc.
In that case you need a very smart lawyer 😛 Find a shark one 😛
Imagine the judge actually went to Benihana and had a negative experience as well :D! That would be fun 😛

Mark…I can’t blame you. I’m not facing a lawsuit and I’m still in shock after reading about the whole Benihana really stupid and unprofessional fiasco.
Chin up man! You’re the best! And the only way you can beat them is by writing more reviews about other restaurants and show them what a professional you are now that you caught their attention and let them eat their words back with regret.
We love your posts. Not a single benihana will let your hardwork be gone to nothing and stop blogging. I know that it is mind bothering and there will be sleepless nights but putting your time on something else or just think about all the people who supports you will make those crazy mind bloggers go away.

Good luck with this case, I know it is hard to be quiet if you feel like a victim but i personally would not direct any blog entries towards the mentioned restaurant and let your lawywer do what he is paid to do. I will not go to that restaurant, not due to your review, but due to their unprofessional, cheap and poorly worded reaction and subsequent law suit. Maybe also best to hold off on reviewing any q80 businesses until the law is clarified for you in court. I can imagine your concerns until this case is setlled cuz you seem like a peaceful guy, specially your concern and attention to the old man from the photography shop you helped send to umraa, and its a shame you have to go through this, but your case will set a precedent for future q80 bloggers, unfortunately, you are involved in a major way.
All power to ya my friend! :)..life has to resume to normality, whether they like it or not! so hopefully you’re alot more relaxed now!

mm…and we are proud of you, you know although you are the only one suffering, the implication of this is huge and you are doing your part in making our world a better place. Don’t think we don’t appreciate or respect that. I know I do.
Like you said, they can sue you but honestly I read your post and I did not find anything offensive or necessary for them to take these actions! If anything, most people would have still gone even after your review but what makes things bad for them is that most people will reconsider trying it out after all this negative hype they created for themselves…good luck, its sad that people can’t take criticism very well!
They cannot silence people this way.
I have full understanding for this , and the only thing we have is to show our support. I had a similar case (not related to internet) 3 years ago and it affected my life in a massive way. But after 18 months of anxiety the outcome was just right and justice had taken its place.
But it is sad how tiny and evil a brain of a human being can be.
And don’t think we’ll forget m8, I come back here every now and then just to see any updates! This is one Court case I actually want to know the ending of, and I hope it’s congrats to you!
