I’m back in Kuwait now and I’ve got a bunch of things lined up to post about my trip to Geneva. I’m trying to sort through all the photos I took and once I do hopefully by tonight I’ll have a few posts up. In summary though it was a very educational trip and I got to meet some great people be it the guys who were with me from Kuwait or the AP people in Geneva. Just to give you a preview though I’m going to be posting about the hotel we stayed, a post about the restaurants I got to try out while there and of course a post or two about our visit to Audemars Piguet. So stay tuned.

was wondering.,..whats up with the new ads? like it used to be fine with the ads on the side, but now its like…we lost you and you lost yourself to the true meaning of your blog…you’re now swamping us with ads.
Well this new one is called a takeover and lasts for only 7 days. After 7 days everything goes back to normal. It’s something new I’m trying out and the only reason I’m considering it is because it brings in massive income. I don’t mind it when engadget or gizmodo do it so I figured I’d try it out over here. The max duration of a takeover campaign is 7 days and it would only occur once a month that’s IF it becomes a monthly thing. Most likely it will be a rare occurrence.
Rest assured though you haven’t lost me, if anything I’ve got plans coming up very soon that will make things even better for the readers but I can’t share anything for now.

Don’t matter tho’ 248am is still alive, that’s all that matters 😛

I didn’t notice it until someone commented on it. It isn’t a bother, unlike popups. The day you start pop-ups, is the day I stop visiting.

It would be a nice idea for April’s fool though, fill up the blog with pop up ads
What many brands dont figure is the negative impact of “shouting in someone’s face”… I usually develop an instant dislike for any brand which tries to become “overpowering” and steal away from the content which one has really come to see. I hope it does not become a case of others following blindly with a ‘skyscraper & takeover ‘ approach ! Appreciate the tip to stay away for 6 more days…
