I’m currently in Beirut and supposed to get back to Kuwait tomorrow (Jan 25, my flight is at 2PM with Wataniya Airways) but for those of you following the news all hell has broken loose here in Lebanon due to politics. Tonight while I was out shopping they people started blocking the main roads with burning tires including the main airport road. Hopefully its going to be cleared by tomorrow although I doubt that is the case. I can’t wait to get out of here, have another flight on the 26th to Bahrain for Gulf Run and would rather be there then stuck here with all this crap going on.
Update: Just got to Kuwait. I left to the airport early this morning which was a good thing since I managed to get there before they blocked the main airport road. Now I’m back home and catching up on all my emails before I head off tomorrow to Bahrain for Gulf Run.

Situation keeps getting unstable, if you can’t make it in the next few days your less likely to get out soon.
Take care Mark! If something were to happen to you our only real source of news for anything in Kuwait will be gone! 😛 No seriously dude take care and I hope you get back safely.
Hopefully it won’t turn to another civil war in the long run. Dirty politics is being played behind the scene, and as usual, Lebanon is in the crossfire.

Hope you make it back soon Mark. But I wouldn’t have went there after that mess all started a couple of weeks ago. I knew this time was different compared to all the other political problems of the past. My wife and I are hoping it calms down there before we go in the summer time!

Glad you’re ok, this is sad. But it’s like a reminder that you should be thankful that you wake up every morning with a normal life instead of war waging. I won’t complain how boring things get here. Atleast I’m safe.
But Lol why do they block the roads and stop people from getting anywhere?. Some people need to escape the madness.
Mark if you are in bahrain, dont forget to try Lamb chops from Ishkandrun on the exhibition road. The best lamb chops in the world. If you like it get one plate for me, luv them.
